Public Transit provides a great and economical way to tour Toronto's many attractions. Toronto operates a very good subway system with 69 stations along 68 kilometers of track.  The subway system will get you withing walking distance of many of the city's attractions, while many more attractions are easily reached by combination of  the subway and a streetcar or bus connection.

To visit attractions beyond the city you can take advantage of the Go Bus and Go Train system operated by the Province.

A day pass is often the most flexible option for tourists as it provides unlimited travel on the TTC system in any direction, all day long, for a flat fee of $11.00. On weekends and holidays the day pass offers an incredible value as up to 6 people (maximum 2 adults) can ride with just a single day pass.

Toronto has many beautiful parks and gardens that are well worth visiting.  Just a short ferry ride from downtown,  the Toronto Islands offer an oasis of beautiful parkland, paths, waterways, beaches and more that you or your entire family will enjoy.

It is possible to take a day trip to the renowned  Niagara Falls using Go Transit from downtown Toronto at a significant savings over tour buses.

Some of Toronto's top attractions include the CN Tower, High Park, The Distillery Historic District, The Royal Ontario Museum, The Ontario Science Centre, Casa Loma, Eaton Centre and Canada Wonderland and the Toronto Zoo.
