Two of the most popular tourist activities during the winter months are skiing and snowboarding.  The Searchmont Ski Resort is located northeast of Sault Ste. Marie, and offers great terrain for all skill and experience levels.  With over 750’ of vertical drop and a great terrain park, this is one of the best resorts in Ontario.

 The fishing around Sault Ste. Marie is absolutely fabulous.  People from all over the world visit this city for its access to miles of beautiful river and numerous lakes, many filled with good sized, healthy fish.
