Whistler/Blackcomb is one of the world's most popular ski regions.  It is consistently rated by ski magazines and guidebooks as the most popular ski resort in North America. It offers more ski terrain and vertical runs than any other ski resort in North America.  It has a mile-high vertical rise, twelve bowls and more than 200 marked trails.

Only about 75 miles from Vancouver, it is conveniently located for visitors to come for even a short visit.

In winter, Whistler/Blackcomb offers downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and heli-skiing.  There is even a new Tube Park in the Base 2 Zone of Blackcomb Mountain.

In summer, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails to enjoy.  Also golfing, horseback riding and rafting.

There are plenty of accomodations where you can stay that are conveniently located at the base of the mountain - Ski-In/Ski-Out resorts are popular and plentiful.  From large condo resorts to lodges to comfortable B&Bs and Inns, there are accomodations for every budget and taste.  There are over 5,000 rooms within 500 yards of the mountain's lifts.

If you're looking for an out-of-the-way ski getaway, Whistler probably isn't the place.  It's a busy, bustling area, with more than 8,000 year-round residents.  The mountains can handle over 55,000 skiers per hour.

If you want to get off the slopes for awhile and enjoy some different activities, take a sleigh ride, go indoor rock-climbing, take a ziptrek ecotour, or go to a spa.  Shopping and dining are also popular activities.
