Guided horseback rides for a few hours or a few days are available through two companies: Warner Guiding and Outfitting (aka Holiday on Horseback) is based near the town of Banff. They offer a variety of outings, from short horseback rides, carriage rides, and sleigh rides to multi-day trips  from their backcountry lodge near the town of Banff. Brewster Adventures (aka Brewster Mountain Pack Trains) offers variety of half-day and full-day rides based near Lake Louise . They also offer overnight trips from their Kananaskis Country lodge just east of Banff National Park.

If you wish to ride through Banff National Park on your own horse, it is  important to carefully read Parks Canada's Horse User's Guide, which has important safety information as well as details on park regulations and how to make reservations for your ride.
