La Fonda   mexican food, menu in Spanish only for now   La Fonda is located on Hidalgo Street, northwest of downtown CSL.  Very traditional mexican dishes; excellent quality.  Our family considers this a must-visit restaurant on each trip to CSL.

Medium to Higher Price Range

Puerto San Lucas MEDIUM UPSCALE  new restaurant located on 20 November, one block north of Zapata and Pepe's.  Fantastic steak and lobster, nice atmosphere, great service.  Rib-eye steak was USD$22; steak and lobster $35.  Ceasar salad for two -- $12.  Less-expensive mexican meals available also, but didn't get a chance to try them.  By the way, this restaurant is located just north of the main drag and there is plenty of parking available (a BIG plus in Cabo San Lucas!).

Serena Cafe    MEDIUM UPSCALE  seafood,steaks,  klm.7.5,  great ocean views

Alexander's Bistro    UPSCALE, seafood & steaks, unique "hang beef" menu item

Mariscos Mocambo: EXCELLENT seafood of all types, beer, wine, and super clean. Staff speaks plenty of english. Fresh 'raw' cerviche should give you no health issues and the seafood soup is not spicy hot -and delicious. Restaurant is clean and staff helpful and cheerful. Loacted a #1 Leona Vicario and 20 de Noviembre.

Two restaurants in one. Owner of both places is a Culinary School Grad. Mamas Royal Cafe (AM only) for breakfast. Many American breakfast choices and middle prices. Fruit plate is delicious and should give you no health-related issues. Helpful staff and big portions. in the PM this place turns into Felix'. Located at Hildago Ave and Zapata. Closed Sunday.
