Nightlife in Tulum is pretty mellow, limited to DJs and live music at the restaurants and hotel bars on the beach. There are a couple of nice bars in Tulum pueblo : Divino Paraiso, the new Downtown terrace bar of Tulum, located in the center of the main avenue, with events everyday (Live Music & DJs), from far the most beautiful bar downtown and the best cocktails (particularly piña colada and mojito). Teetotum has special cocktail offers daily at happy hour and movies on the roof, under the stars with free popcorn, every weekend.  Acabar a two floor palapa in the center of town, Azul a techno bar across the street with a jacuzzi inside. On the beach Mezzanine has a superb party every Friday night with guest DJ's from around the globe. There is also a new Beach Club called Akiin in the south beach with parties on Saturday night and on full moon nights El Paraiso has a beach party.Stay away from the bar called Cabaret on the main stip near San Francisco mercado. It is a very dirty strip club that will try to take your money by charging you whatever they feel like. ($84USD for two beers, their excuse was that we bought 4 beers for the strippers at $15 each) The pretty much kidnapped my friend because we did not have the cash on hand and I had to run and get it from my hotel.
