Aktun Chen is just off the main highway, across from the Gran Bahia Principe resort complex.  It is basically an animal park, with underground cave tours.  The tour consists of snakes in enclosed areas a tour through the jungle, a lenghly trip through the underground caves and then back through a jungle area with animals around the trail and in enclosed areas.

There are two other main activities; Zip-line (10 stations) tour and Underground cenote snorkelling tour. Its a good option if you´re looking forward a non crowded natural place. Great zip-lines, where kids can also enjoy them. www.aktunchen.com

There are drinks, snacks available on site and they provide free bus rides to there from some resorts in the area.

Go if you are interested in seeing some Mexican wildlife and getting the opportunity to wander through the caves.
