San Juan is a big city with some very popular places to see like the fort and simply walk around the old city.

Another popular place for visitors (specially rum lovers) is the Bacardi Factory or the Don Q store.

But getting out the beaten path on a private tour is something you might want to do.

For example, a drive through the financial district with a stop at the University. Another stop at the home of the first elected governor, one of the island`s most important political leader. He used to live in a cozy country home and has a great garden. Then, of course, the Botanical Garden, a natural tropical area with all types of trees and plants. This place is like going to the rain forest, which is another popular attraction. A drive by typical very famous shopping area where the locals goes. A market place or indoor farmer`s market  Drive around the outskirts of San Juan and you`ll  find mountains and maybe a nice restaurant for some of the best roast pork with some rice and beans, fried plantains, sweet potatoes and much more.
