Even after the sun goes down, the beaches of Port Antonio are beautiful, but sometimes people just need to get indoors and enjoy a bit of the local nightlife.   The most famous club in Port Antonio is the Roof Club which is located on West Street .   This is a traditional Jamaican club, with reggae music pounding through it and bodies gyrating all over the place.   It is relatively inexpensive, although it may have a cover charge, but it is one of the pricier nightlife locations in Port Antonio due to its popularity.   A detailed review of the club is available from the archives of the New York Times ( http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage... ).

Travelers interested in finding a club which is as active as the Roof Club but not quite as busy with tourists may find that the Tree Bar is the best place for them.  It is located in the Goblin Hill Villas ( http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserRe... ).  Set in the center of the beautiful nature of Port Antonio, this bar has a terrific view and a generally pleasant ambience.

Those people looking for some place which is even more catered to locals than tourists may find that Xtacy is the place for them.   Additional information about that club is available online at http://americanairlines.wcities.com/e... .
