One of the attractions in both Negril and Jamaica is it's wonderful variety of vegetation
Jamaica is lush with banana trees, palms and and a spectacular array of colourful tropical flowers, fruits and vegetables everywhere you go.
Places like the Judy House in Negril specialize in making their gardens a place you never want to leave. In your cottage you are surrounded by so many species & colours of flowers the beauty is just stunning. Scents of night jasmine in the evenings, serenaded by nightingales & owls, waking up to the rising sun on these gardens gives a real feeling of being in a tropical paradise you only dreamed about before.

Markets are overflowing with fruits & vegetables
Many you may not have seen before like sweetsops, soursops, start apples, june plums, akee, jack fruit, star apple etc. And there are times for the produce 'mango time' everyone is picking, selling, eating and sharing mangos. 'Ackee time' when the National Dish of Ackee and salt fish is on everybody's table. Christmas sees everyone making punch from the Sorrel flower which can also be a great addition to the local rums.
