Some favourite places to eat in Ocho Rios

  • For a quick bite to eat: The Irish Rover in Drax Hall on the outskirts of Ocho Rios, it is the place to eat with the cleanest bathrooms. Great food and staff friendly it a true irish experience. 
  • For lunch, Dave's Lobster Shack located directly on Fisherman's Beach. Dave cooks what is caught that day so everything is very fresh.  Jerk chicken is also great and the lobster is the best around.  True Jamaican experience.
  • Island Grill on the main street; local fast food franchise that offers jerk or BBQ chicken, fish , soup etc.
  • White River Ranch in the plaza near white river; authentic jerk pork and chicken in a rustic outdoor setting. Caution, use the hot sauce sparingly! The chef says its so hot it has been known to 'hurt people feelings'.
  • Tastee and Juici Patties also on the main street near the centre of town; local beef and chicken patties.

  • Evitas on the hill opposite Taj Mahal shopping centre on Eden Bower Rd. Has indoor and outdoor seating with a fantastic view of Ocho Rios. The extensive creative Pasta, Northern Italian Menu also features fresh seafood, vegetarian and, Jam-Italian fusion dishes! All food is cooked to order and, additions or changes, to suit individual taste, are promptly and efficiently served. Kids Menu is also available. Live entertainment almost every evening by a talented and entertaining 'Rasta' singer-guitarist with a wide repertoire of Jamaican Reggae and pop songs.
  • Coconuts restaurant near the cruise ship pier; local and contemporary cuisine.
  • Bibibips on the sea side off the main road heading east out of town; local and contemporary cuisine.
  • Margaritaville Jimmy Buffets place in Island village shopping centre; restaurant and night club and beach and pool.
  • Toscanini's just outside of town heading east; fine Italian dining. In the informal garden setting of Harmony Hall Art Gallery the menu is presented on a blackboard to reflect daily specials.
  • Ruins restaurant near Taj Mahal shopping plaza; dining beside waterfalls, nice ambiance if its currently open.
  • Mamma Marley's - Across the street from the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort; wonderful ambiance, excellent cuisine and wonderful service.
