The east of the Dominican Republic is very diversified and scenic. From pristine beaches to rocky shores and distant mountains, the mood of the region changes at a good pace!

There are a good number of ways to experience the region. Some tours are sold at your resort or hotel and others sold by internet only. A search under the "Things to Do" section will give you a good overview of the different operations and comments from those who have experienced the tours first hand.

Remember with tours that cater to a more individual or independent traveller, book fast and often well in advance. It is always best to book early to avoid being put on a waiting list. The same goes for mainstream tours during the high season.
