This little town at the far south-west corner of the country is one of the secret of Haiti - an island that has not tourists! Port Salut is very relaxed and safe.....people are usually friendly...more

Whoever has the chance to go to the south (and a good 4WD) should visit Port Salut, the home town of President Aristide. Especially the beaches around like Plage Macaya and a beach a few miles beyond...more
