The place was levelled following an earthquake sometime in the 1600's. It was completely rebuilt to stunning effect. There isnt a great deal to do there, and I visited by bus from Syracusa, about 5...more

One of the best hilltowns in southern Sicily. Great at night and a good "combine" ticket for 3 good sights. Can easily park just outside of the old town and walk the rest. more
