Light a candle at the magnificent San Fernando Cathedral or peruse adobe architecture, exhibits and period furnishings at the Casa Navarro State Historical Park. Named after a key figure in the fight for freedom in Texas, the park is located right downtown and offers free guided tours. Roam along the multi-faceted River Walk, a two and a half-mile stretch of cobblestone and flagstone paths along the San Antonio River. OK - this hotel is near the airport and right off 410 - you can see the interstate from the front side of the property. That said, it has been very quiet. There is a pool, and a tiny fitness center....more
