The absolute peace of this place is glorious, though I suspect it may be different when the balloons are up. David Niven chose Chateau d'Oex for his latter years, and his simple grave is in the local...more

Chateau D'Oex is a small village in a valley surrounded by towering mountains. The setting is wonderfully pastoral with the constant tinkling of cowbells. It is about a two hour drive from Geneva...more
