Touting itself as the place "where the real West lives," Pendleton celebrates its history of cowboys, moonshiners, traders and pioneers. The Real West Charm Trail and Cattle Drive Sculpture Park tell stories of the area's rich past while the annual Pendleton Round-Up brings modern cowboys to one of the largest rodeos in the country. The Tamastslikt Cultural Center gives a different perspective of history, with exhibitions presented from the view of the Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla peoples.
