The small historic town of Cambridge was very quaint with wonderful little shops and good food. We took walks while we were there to the lovely pond and park. We loved it. more

Destinations of the Day
Acapulco, Mexico
  • Resident population: 616,394 Annual visitors: 5,000,000 (est.)
  • Major features: beaches, water sports, nightlife
  • 3,961 TripAdvisor reviews of 207 accommodations, 68 attractions and 134 restaurants
Mountain views, raucous nightlife and a C-shaped bay with a plethora of beaches make Acapulco a more upscale, yet reasonably priced, escape than its spring-break cousin, Cancun.
  • Resident population: 9,650,054 Annual visitors: 3,980,000 (est.)
  • Major features: beach resorts, ecotourism
  • 75,749 TripAdvisor reviews of 587 accommodations, 216 attractions and 174 restaurants
The Dominican Republic lies in the same waters as Cuba and Puerto Rico, taking up the eastern two-thirds of the island it shares with Haiti.
Santorini, Greece
  • Resident population: 13,725 Annual visitors: 1,500,000 (est.)
  • Major features: beaches, architecture, archaeological sites
  • 14,838 TripAdvisor reviews of 648 accommodations, 23 attractions and 115 restaurants
Glamorous Santorini, in the southern Aegean's Cyclades islands, curves round a giant lagoon, a caldera left by a volcanic eruption.
Paphos, Cyprus
  • Resident population: 27,000 (est.)
  • Major features: historic buildings, beaches
  • 9,186 TripAdvisor reviews of 252 accommodations, 21 attractions and 79 restaurants
Paphos, the capital of western Cyprus, has some serious historical clout. Site of the vast fourth-century BC Tombs of the Kings, set high on a cliff above the sparkling sea, as well as a dramatic Byzantine castle and fine mosaics, it's also known as the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite.
Atlantic City, New Jersey
  • Resident population: 39,408 (est.)
  • Major features: The Boardwalk, casinos, beaches
  • 7,005 TripAdvisor reviews of 72 accommodations, 39 attractions and 281 restaurants
It's the East Coast's answer to Las Vegas. Atlantic City's casinos draw tourists by the car- and bus-load, but even if your main objective is to play some blackjack, you'll want to save time for sightseeing.
