We went to Table Rock some years ago with our two sons, ages 7 and 8. One ran ahead on one of the trails and it ended at a cliff. Fortunately, I caught up with him before he fell off! It is beautiful...more

I am 25 years old and I love the outdoors.... Grandfather Mountain was the most horrible experience of my life. The hike, which took us 5 hours was a treacherous climb. It was extremely dangerous....more

Hiking not necessary...the road will take you to the top and the bridge is a short walk away. lower on the mountain is an animal preserve...where you can view a bald eagle, otters, bears and deer. ...more
