アルゼンチン南部、パタゴニア地方の観光名所である「ロス・グラシアレス国立公園」 ここの見どころは、なんと言っても氷河鑑賞。 氷河を間近で見ることができ、また、遊覧船に乗って氷河の目の前まで行くことができます。 この船では、氷河をウィスキーの中に入れて飲む「氷河ウィスキー」が名物。 水道水で作ったの氷とは違い「ピキピキッ」と、細かい音がいつまでも鳴り響き、ウィスキーすべて飲み干しても、まだ溶けません。 その音は、1万年分の地球の音と言っても過言ではありません。 また、氷河の上を歩くツアーもあり、こちらも人気です。 日帰りツアーでUS$200近くしますが、行く価値は十分にあります。 氷河の透明度からくる、辺り一面の青い反射光。 何万年もの間に形成された、大氷河の上を歩く経験は貴重なものとなるでしょう。 氷河の上を歩く専用の靴や、その他備品などはツアー会社ですべて用意してくれるので上着とカメラだけでOKです。 US$200も出せないという方でも、氷河目前まで行くことができます。 起点となる町、エル・カラファテ市からバスが出ています。 本数が少ないので注意しましょう。 国立公園内は、遊歩道が整備されており氷河の崩れる音が常に響き渡っています。 その音を聞くだけでも、一見の価値があると思います。 裏ワザですが・・・・・・。 国立公園内入園する際、入園料がかかり、これがけっこう高いです。(ゲート前にある、公園管理事務所にて支払います。) ですが、深夜~早朝は、入園無料です。 前の日にレンタカーを借りるなりして、翌日早朝に向かえば入場料を払わなくても入園できます。 バス+入園料 < レンタカー代+ガソリン代 です。 レンタカーですと、帰りのバスの時間等きにしないでマイペースで観光できるのでオススメです!! more
