Our room was very hot, the a/c had been turned off. Took half the night to cool down. Had dirty sheets on the bed. Dirty toilet and toilet paper stuck to walls. Rude front desk person. more

My brother-in-law lives in Bessemer and no visit is complete without a trip to Bob Sykes. We always get the barbeque pork sandwiches, which are excellent, but the ribs and chicken great, too. And...more

The Bright Star is a great restaurant and a real anchor for downtown Bessemer. The red snapper throats are outstanding -- not something you'll find many places, and worth a trip to the Bright Star. more
