Lived here all my life and never went on this tour until a few days ago. We decided to take our grandkids on some day trips and this was on the list. WOW.....what an eye-opener into the coal mining...more

Both parts of Pioneer are equally worth doing. Ideally first you do the Steam train or Lokie ride which lasts about 35 minutes. You bump along the outer perimeter of the mountain and stop twice...more
