The island of Paxos is situated in the Ionian Sea, a few miles south of Corfu. It covers an area of only about 19 sq km, so it's small enough to get around easily but big enough not to get bored with....more

Lakka, September 2006 I found Lakka to be a stunningly beautiful, very quiet laid back resort with a good selection of tavernas and bars. Most of the days were spent on Harami beach, reading...more

early May is not the traditional season to hop the Greek isles but if you are prepared to deal with closed tourist offices, dicy ferry rosters and changing weather there are rewards. Ask the locals...more
