「圧倒される水量」を見てみたくて行ってきましたが、梅雨時にもかかわらず水量はあまり多くなく、迫力に欠けました。 茨城県在住の人によると雪解けの時期に行くといいみたいですが… ハイキングコース?なのか滝の周囲を散策できるようになっていたのでそのあたりをウロウロしてましたがあまり見所はなかったように感じます。 観光客も少ないのか土産物屋も少々寂れ気味… 駐車場が無料だったのでよかったです。 more

Road Station Okukuji Daigo

 茨城の大子町にある道の駅で、温泉に入れます。 寒い日に袋田の滝を観光した後に寄ったので、とてもあたたまることができました。 浴場は2階にあって、料金は大人500円で、コインロッカーの代金は返却され、テレビのある畳の休憩スペースと眺望の良い外のテラス席も利用でき、無料の飲料水もありました。  立つと外が見えるくらいの浴室内は明るいのですが、あまり広くなく、浴槽は8人入るとぎっしりという感じでした。利用時間は11時から夜8時までで、土曜日だったせいか11時に入ったところすぐに満員状態で、あまりゆっくりはしていられなかったのが残念でした。  1階にはレストランと売店があり、地元の特産物や野菜が販売されており、結構盛況のようでした。 more

妻の友人が「袋田の滝」の近くに住んでいますので、ついでに何回か行った事があります。まず入場料を支払って「袋田の滝トンネル」に入ります。料金は比較的安い方だと思います。トンネルが開けたところに「袋田の滝」が見えます。結構ま近に見えますので、滝の規模にしては、とても雄大に思えます。夏はそれこそマイナスイオンがタップリという感じと水しぶきの迫力感が相乗効果をもたらします。冬は、夏にあんなに勢い凄かった滝が全て凍ってしまい、まさに神秘の世界。最近は温暖化の影響か、完全に凍ることが少なくなっていますが、是非、夏と冬の両方の姿を見に行って下さい。 more
