I was here to attend a conference at Ritsumeikan University. Kusatsu is a small town on Lake Biwa about 1/2 hour outside of Kyoto. They do not see a lot of westerners here so go with a bilingual...more

I had a single room for about 7,000 yen/day ($80 US). It was clean and had free internet. Breakfast was OK. There was a decent selection of European/US and Japanese fare. Staff is not bilingual,...more
