I visited Miyajima in 2006. I enjoyed the experience very much and particularly liked seeing the tame deer on the island. At that time it was possible to buy deer food at various places in the town...more

Depending upon how active you feel will determine how you want to tackle this 'mountain' of 535 metres. For the the less active there's always the cable car / ropeway. For those who like to build up a...more
