“Great Place with lots of extras”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2012

Me and a friend made an unexpected stop in St. Marys and couldn't be happier about it. Stayed in a Balcony Suite that had two of the most comfortable queen beds I have ever stayed in. Your other basic ammenities were all clean and available in the room including a great Keurig Coffee Maker that I enjoyed and your usual flat panel TV. Beyond that we were also provided with COMPLIMENTARY Soda, snacks and water in the room as well as a great carry bag which proved to be helpful as I always pack too much. The Wifi allowed us to use our I Pad for entertainment. In the morning I had slept late but the girl at the front desk was happy to provide me with the continental breakfast plate they had fixed for me pending my wake up. Furthermore I was provided with a charger to charge my phone, as this is always something I forget. Helpful, Clean, Friendly and a staff that clearly cares and goes the extra mile!

Room Tip: Go for the balcony suite on the corner -- 702 I believe, duel windows and a private Oasis

Many of our family members stayed for a funeral on February 4, 2012. The manager was very unprofessional and immature, and refused to give his name when asked. He threatened to call the police because our 19 year old disabled daughter (autism) had locked herself out of the room and was crying to be let in. When told we had just buried my husband's father, his response was "that's not my fault". Mature, eh? We intend to file a human rights complaint, because it is clear that the disabled are not welcome here.

Stayed at the Stone Willow Inn over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Ate dinner on Saturday at their in house restaurant "Wildstone", the food was just excellent. It was quite busy, staff still found the time to be pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a premium queen room, which was well appointed and spotless (cleanliness can be an issue with us, was not an issue here). Complimentary breakfast in the morning was a nice treat. Looking forward to our next trip to St. Marys.

We stayed here for a wedding. The wedding was in their large tent and it was very nice. The hotels rooms however were cheap and basic and not reflective of the price of the room ($157.00). The continental breakfast was one of the worst we have ever had at a hotel. The hotel is near Stratford and it would be an easy drive to the theatre but you could probably find nicer hotels in Stratford.

We spent the night here with a groupon coupon. The room was spacious and quiet. We ate in the dining room and loved our meal. You can take your own wine but their wine list is very reasonable and varied. The grounds are lovely and there is a nice patio for drinks and pub food if you don't want to eat in the formal dining room Service was attentive and friendly.

My husband and I just returned from the Stone Willow Inn. We went for a little overnight getaway with golfing at St Marys Golf and Country Club, sightseeing at Stratford to be followed by an enjoyable dinner at the Stone Willow and a comfy night stay. We read that reservations were suggested and tried 5 times that morning to do so, but ended up playing telephone tag. Who would have thought it would be that difficult. Upon check in, we took a peak at the "dining room" and realized that we definitely would not be eating there. The food may have been "good", but the restaurant itself lacked atmosphere and character. It was like a glorified Harvey's. FYI...we ended up at Renee's in Stratford which was absolutely amazing. A quaint little Italian restaurant - The baby spinach salad is to die for...as was the fettucine.
We upgraded from the standard 2 double beds to a King and were quoted an additional $30.00. The room was spacious with a large bathroom, complimentary "treats" and drinks and yes the linens were oh so beautiful.
Our view was of the back of the resort overlooking a trailer/shed/picnic table...ughhh...
In the morning we thought we might have some breakfast before heading home using our $20.00 food voucher that was included in our package, only to find out we were allowed to use the voucher on the previous day only. Had we realized this, we would have ordered drinks through room service - what a waste. When we booked our trip, we were also told that there would be a "continental breakfast" which we could not locate after finding out we were out of luck with breakfast. Then as we checked out, my husband was charge $50.00 for our upgrade even though he was quoted $30.00
The Inn was very quaint but unfortunately for us there were too many disappointments and will not be returning nor would we be recommending.

We booked the Romance Package at the Stone Willow for our wedding anniversary. The room was very spacious, with a large bathroom and whirlpool tub. The pillows and bedding were wonderful - I wish I had bought some to bring home. The wine chilled in the fridge was nice, although a small bottle. The truffles were truly exceptional. We ate at the onsite restaurant for $36 for the two of us - exceptional value for good food. The drinks were reasonably priced too. The restaurant was very busy, especially for a Wednesday night. We think the locals must frequent the restaurant as the Inn appeared to be very quiet the night we were there. Free high speed internet worked like a charm! Two reasons we didn't give the Stone Willow a five star rating - 1) the bathroom was too cold 2) the heater in the neighbouring room was quite noisy throughout the night. We would definitely stay again.
