“Never AGAIN”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We booked the cabin and were somewhat pleased with the website and the description, the description was misleading. Full kitchen apparently means no stove or oven, but you do get a hot plate. Separate rooms? Technically they are separated by a wall, however the wall is approximately 2 meters high and completely open, you can hear every noise, even someone scratching from the other room. There were bugs and spiders everywhere in the cabin, we killed them constantly, would not hurt to spray the cabins. The cabin comes with a grill, however no one told us we shared the grill with the other guest. The beds were as uncomfortable as anything I have ever slept in and there is no customer service.

Room Tip: Book in advance in a place closer to Margaret River

We stayed at Caves Road Chalets for 2 nights (4 adults & a doberman)
WE ALL LOVED IT!!
The chalet was cosy but not too cramped, with everything you need inside, beds were comfortable and gorgeous views out of every window.
There was plenty of space for the dog & she absolutely loved running in the paddock.
We will be staying here again, it's great to find a dog friendly place that's comfortable for humans too.

Caves Road Chalets are an amazing getaway. You drive down this red gravel lane into the bush and after a quick check- in with the lovely owner you find yourself amongst the eucalypts, grass trees, birds and roos. The chalets are nicely spaced out and you're right there in the middle if nature with only your cute new home for a few days and magnificent views into the bush. We loved it and couldn't recommend it enough. Gorgeous bed, balcony off the bedroom, everything you need in the kitchen and vineyards, beaches and forests surrounding you. Loved it. Bit thanks to Pia the owner. PS You can buy yummy free-range eggs from reception. They were soooo good!

Excellent weekend, beautiful surroundings, and a lovely atmosphere.

Comfy and cosy, only noise for miles around was Grandma's snoring.
Well equipped kitchen, quality linen, and towels and bath items supplied.

Close to good wineries and venison farm.

Well set up for dogs with a well built run and all items supplied.

Only issue was lack of total dividing wall between sleeping areas - not very private and a bit noisy. A fresh dishcloth would be nice.

We stayed at the Caves Road Chalets for 2 nights on a short trip to the Margaret River region. There were copious messages around the place about what was expected from guests and how clean the Chalet was to be left etc etc but the owner failed to leave small items like dish cloths with which to clean down the bench and table. There was a washing machine onsite which did come in handy as we were right in the middle of a two week stay in WA, but unfortunately no pegs to hang the washing on the line. One message states that enough staples are provided to cater for the first day of your stay but once again lack of attention to detail as there were no T bags or coffee or sugar sachets which I would call staples. I got the impression that most if not all of the cleaning was done by vacating guests as we swept up dust in the bedrooms which had been there much longer than out 2 day stay.
Generally comfortable and overall quite nice.

What a great way to celebrate a birthday by heading down south for a week or so. The property was very easy to find and we were made to feel very welcome with Eric filling in in the office. I am lucky enough to have lived in 2 timber homes in the bush and soon realized that I miss the feeling of waking up, heading downstairs to have a cup of ginger tea surrounded by nature at it's finest.
After a hearty meal at Settlers, we retired to the warmth of our wood heater and great wine. You have to supply your own wood but is well worth it.
The showers were very hot and luxurious. They are very environmentally friendly which is a huge bonus. The only thing missing from our trip was a dog. The chalets are pet friendly and provide a dog run and bowls for each chalet. Very peaceful and relaxing with lots of local wildlife to keep one entertained. Close and central to everything.

Stayed at the Chalets for a night on a short trip to the Margaret River. Wanted something that is surrounded by the bush and I was not disappointed. Though there were a few chalets on the property, they are sufficiently far away to ensure seclusion. It rained and probaly had the strongest gale wind for 2011 but it was lovely to smell the gums and to listen to the winds through the bush in bed that night. Being from Sydney - it so good to feel the natural around.

One great point - unlike most rental properties , this place has very good and sharp knives :-).. Blunt knives frustrates me when I am trying to prepare a "gourmet dinner".
