“Brilliant house, perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Ings is a lovely large house that manages to be simultaneously peacefully isolated from anyone other than the baa-ing lambs that peer though the kitchen windows and conveniently close to both Threlkeld, Keswick, many great walks including of course it's neighbour Blencathra; pictured through all north windows. It was plenty large enough for our extended family to stay, and very well equipped for the family; cot and high hair for the baby, many toys, dressing up and videos for the big one plus more for the grown ups including full kitchen , comfy beds and a big tv. The staircase is open plan to the downstairs living room though so a stair gate would've been the icing on the cake - recommend that you take a portable gate if you having crawling babies or toddlers.

It really was a brilliant place to stay, highly recommended.

“Brilliant bank holiday weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Lovely house with sheep and lambs all around. Footpaths straight from the door and a lovely garden with swing. Easy access to the cycle route that takes you along the disused railway to keswick. Accommodation well equipped and very good. We had great fun with 5 children that ranged from 2 to 9.

“Great house, superb location and exceptional views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Character house with plenty of space. Good walking routes straight out onto the hills, into Keswick, and to the restaurants/pubs in Threlkeld. Would be good for children. Take some peanuts for the bird feeders.

“Great facilities in lovely house, beautiful surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The house is lovey. Clean spacious and well equipped with rustic charm and bags of character. Very easy to find and handy for pretty village of Threlkeld with pubs and coffee shop and not far at all from Keswick.
Great for walking straight from the door up Blencathra or along the valley towards Keswick. Had the perfect weekend with 6 of us, but the house can manage 2 or 3 more.

“Peaceful, relaxing, tasteful, spacious”

We loved it and this will be our first port of call next time we visit the area. The large upstairs lounge is particularly comfortable for a group.

“Super holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We have just returned from Ings and had a lovely stay. There is plenty of room and it is excellently equipped. The children loved the toys, books and dvds. They had hours of fun dressing up too. The garden is enclosed and very pretty with the Spring flowers. The beds were very comfy and the cottage was always warm and cosy. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!
