“Nice hotel, but rooms a bit jaded.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is a large building on the road into Dimitsana, a few minutes walk from the village. It has typical mountain style - lots of wood and warm lighting. Public areas are very spacious and tasteful, huge windows and views. The rooms - ours anyway - are rather jaded, with what seemed like original seventies furnishings and decor, and a tiny bathroom fitted with what looked like left-over odd pieces of marble, and the usual flappy shower curtain. And another hard bed. The woodwork on the balcony was peeling, but made up for by the view of the mountains. After a rather hot night, we realised that the radiator (hidden behind the furniture) was pumping out heat. Much needed in winter, but surely not in late April.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the valley view

We escaped to the peaceful mountain setting of the Hotel Dimitsana while on an adventure through the Peloponnese. The hotel is large with clean and simple rooms and a shower that is way too small but has more water pressure than you know what to do with. The air was full of Pine and the cool breezes were refreshing after a long drive and lots of sites. The breakfast was plentiful and the homemade pastries were a treat. The property is very quiet and provided a brief break in out hectic travels. Thanks

Room Tip: Get a room with a view, the valley and villages off in the distance are beautiful at night.

The rooms in this hotel are really quaint with old style decor. I was charmed by both the hotel and the town. The view out the back is lovely. The town itself is worth a visit - even if just to see the elderly gentlemen perched outside the cafes taking ownership of their "seat for 19 years"! Just use a few words of Greek to them and see them light up!
I have marked the sleep quality as a 3 because of the perennial problem of the firm mattress, but this is very common in Greece.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view

Simple, clean accomodation, meals good. We had room facing the valley, which was quite pretty.

Dimitsana is magical, and this hotel is excellent and affordable. Breakfast is exceptionally good, with homemade and local products. The rooms afford magificent views over the Lousios Gorge, and you are only a short walk from several charming restaurants in the town.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a view of the gorge.

Fantastic Hotel, it has a beautiful view of the mountains of Pelopponeso. It was very well furnished and it has got a romantic athmosphere both in public areas and in the rooms! The beds are comfortable. There's no air conditioning in the rooms, but you won't need it because the temperature is cool. The breakfast was very taste: marmelade, honey and greek yoghurt were home made!!And it wasn't expensive!

We stayed here one night on our travels around the Peloponnese. The hotel is located on the side of a ravine. If you stay make sure you try to get a room facing the mountains and with a view from the balcony. The room is small, bathroom adequate with good pressure and the breakfast was your basic continental. I liked the short walk into town where we had a nice dinner at a local restaurant. Like most Greek hotels the mattress was firm which I prefer. The hotel would be a good base for hikes in the surrounding hills.
