“A promise for memorable holiday!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

The location of this boutique hotel guarantee a calm stay and at the same time ,easy access to the cosmopolitan centre of Fira.Εvery detail was anticipated to make our stay amazing and mainly George(at the front desk) with his information and suggestions for everything we asked(food, nightlife, beaches, drives) made us feel more like homegrown than tourists.
The rooms are spacious in Cycladic style with an amazing luxurious style and the free usage of Petite Palace's facilities with the amazing view, was great.
Thank you for everything, see you next summer!!

Markezinis suites has a wonderful close-to-home kind of feel and isn't similar to any of the usual standard hotels in the area. So it is very unique in that respect. At the same time, you can enjoy all the facilities at any of their sister-concern hotels which is fabulous. Me and my wife stayed here for 4 nights in June 2012 and had one of our best vacations. George (one of the hotel staff) is very helpful and is super-friendly and he always went out of his way to help the guests. We had a lovely time and totally recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini.

Room Tip: Any room! :)

We spent 5 day in Markezines Suites from 15/8/2012 to 19/8/2012. The front desk services was amazing as well as the room service. Breakfast was a la card and the client has a variety of food and drinks to choose. The place were 7 minutes from Thira and only 15minutes from every beach of the island.

My partner and I stayed in Markezinis for a week and had a fantastic time. The room was beautiful and very spacious, and the surrounding area was quiet and there were bus stops just a couple of minutes walk away with routes to various parts of the Island. The service we recieved was fantastic, hotel manager George was there to greet us when we arrived and was very friendly and welcoming, he shared with us his knowledge of the Island and was there to answer any questions we had. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, we choose from the menu each day and breakfast was served on the patio each morning. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and would reccommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at Markezinis for a week and were pleased with the effortlesness of the place. The room was spacious withnice four-poster bed and a jacuzzi. Best part was probably the a la carte breakfast; having food allergies can be troublesome abroad, but here we could just pick our favorites from the list and enjoy the healthy brekkie on the patio. The hotel manager George is a pleasant guy, always smiling and with a handful of good Santorini holiday tips to offer.

What was a bit disappointing was that the hotel does not have own pool. Guests are able to use the pool at the sister hotel Petit Palace which is more than nice as the caldera view is absolutely stunning. However, you need a vehicle to get there. Furthermore, Markezinis is located in the small village of Mesaria, which means there's not much to see or do at the village so you need a vehicle to get around. As there are only five rooms at the hotel, most of them share the breakfast patio together (meaning the patio serves as your balcony/terrace) which is nice, but means that there's no privacy in case you prefer that.

Santorini can offer some stunning views and marvellous experiences, so it is worth visiting. Markezinis is a good place to stay with its comfy, clean, airconditioned rooms and welcoming staff. They are planning to open a restaurant and a pool next year, so it will be even more recommedable (currently the hotel does not have own restaurant so in case you get hungry late in the evening you need to go elsewhere for an evening snack).

Room Tip: Most rooms share the patio together so the difference is the room size. Executive suite was good for...

We stayed at Markezini suites the first week of July. It was a family trip and they gave us a big suite with a wonderful ceiling, a very nice bathroom, with all the room amenities of a luxury hotel.
The staff was very kind. The breakfast served in the terrace with a nice stone handmade floor, with many choices in a very good quality. Definately we will return.
P.S. The location is not at the Caldera side but its the best location to discover the island and to devide the distances btw Oia and Acrotiri.

Looking for a place in Santorini can be a hustle as prices are high and quality not always that good. However, when we found this hotel we just did not want to leave..we felt like at home(stayed for 4 nights). The staff is very friendly. The manager, George is one of the most professional and kind managers we have met.
Our room was spacious, very clean, modern and with beautiful light. But what was even more impressive was the bathroom. It is almost as big as the room, shower was fantastic, we did not try the jacuzzi but I am sure it is great, too. There is an over at the corner of the room as this used to be a kitchen and they left it for decoration.
Internet is free, you can use it in the room and outside on the terrace.
Breakfast was outstanding, also free. You can have it in you room or on the terrace.

Le Petit Palace, which is their sister hotel has amazing romantic sunset views, privacy, beautiful restaurant and all facilities can be used for free. That was so nice as most people like to go to Oia for sunsets but what many don't know is that sunsets from this spot is so beautiful and hardly anyone is bothering you around.

Overall, outstanding experience! Thank you George and team! Hope we get to visit again soon!
