I had stayed there for two days. Here it goes

Best part
- As I was on honeymoon, found beautiful place to stay, all amenities. are included in cottage.
- Both night I found bed decorated.
- Out side of room it was great scenario, no need to roam anywhere in Munnar if you are staying at Club Mahindra.
- Food was too good, especially dinner.

Worse part
- Far away from Munnar city, so not to advice to go in city as it takes 1.5hr for a single way. And come back before 6.30 if you are in city as there will be dark.

It was wonderful week stay at Munnar-Club Mahindra Lake View.

Only hussle we faced is unavailability of a proper room even after prior booking. One day we were forced to stay in a substandard room.

After hearing and reading great reviews for Club Mahindra Munnar, we had our expectations set very high, and to our surprise this property of Club Mahindra surpassed all our expectations

Location : Heavenly, Me and My Wife were Speechless once we saw this serene place

Rooms : Old style, No Bath Tub, Lavish, very well maintained with Exotic View of Nature and Lake.

Weather : Best of All : We experienced Fog, Sunny, Rainy and Chili climate in a span of few hours

Food : Local delicacies are too few but all of them were tasty

Activities : Local City Tour, DJ, Golf & Massage were just perfect for us

Staff : The real Jewel(s) of this resort are their staff, each one is extremely polite, well trained and they strive and see to it that you have a great time, Fantastic

As far as u can see, u r surrounded by lush green tea estates...with the mountains forming the backdrop...with the thin misty air between u and the horizon and all of this from ur balcony in the Lakeview Munnar.
This is really an awesome property by the Mahindra. Rooms are uncomparably clean. Service is outstanding. Specially I remember the guy coming in every morning and asking whether there is anything that we would like him to do which was not on his duty roster.
The retaurant "Tea Room" is very elegantly designed and serves great buffet three times a day.
The activity room is quite good and well stocked with whatever you want to do- painting, craft, games etc. They arranged for specail activites every evening.
We spent our first anniversary there on a open terrace bar. They have good collection of wine, alcohol and starters.
They operate tours to different part of the region like the Madupetty Dam, Echo point and Munnar Town.
Most importantly, this place is around 45-50 mins away from Munnar town, so book your conveyance in those terms.
The best thing about the resort is, if u do not have anything to do, just explore the resort. Tis beautiful!!!
I have visited Mahindra's Coorg resort which to me is the best of the lot, Munnar though being second is not far away.

Lovely position overlooking the lake .Real family feel to this hotel .Suppose to be 5 star but more like 3/4 .Choose a room on the front to get a view ,back roms are very dark .Rooms are very old fashioned colonial but comfortable .Food was very good .You do get a phone call every evening inviting you to activities in the activity centre including a magic show !
Lovely area to visit .Apparently rhis is one of the best hotles in the area .

From the moment we arrived at this stunningly located hotel we were treated to EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. When we arrived we were greeted at the door with refreshments, which were very welcomed after a long, twisty but very pretty car journey through the tea plantations. The reception staff seated us then took care of all the check in details and baggage.

We was then shown up to our room. The person showing us up took time to carefully explain to us all about the room and its facilities, then went on to explain about the other hotel facilities and if we needed anything to call.

The room was a nice size and consisted of numerous wardrobes, a seating area, table, a fridge and tea an coffee facilities. None of the rooms are air conditioned in this hotel. But then again its warm only during the day and gets quite cool after 6 pm. The bed was a nice size and was very comfortable. All the bed linen was clean and nicely soft unlike some hotels that where the linen is crispy. On the bed were the bath towels that had been folded in to designs that changed each day of our stay.

The bathroom was clean and tidy, but on the small side. It did contain all the essentials needed for our stay. But definitely we were expecting a better and bigger bathroom.

We were lucky and had a room at the front of the hotel which had stunning views over tea plantations, down the valley, a lake in the middle of the valley and of the hills on the opposite side.During the evening the mist does come down low. This does not in anyway affect your view , in fact in the morning we were treated to a very nice sunrise over the hills, with a band of mist low in the valley.

The facilities here for the whole family are excellent. We went ato the activity centre and was greeted by very friendly staff, who took the time to explain all the tours and possible things to do. The activity centre has amongst other things a snooker table, a table tennis board, an ice hockey table, some video games stations and wii arrangement. Some of the activities are chareable while others are free.At no point were they pushing anything on us. They were happy to spend the time explaining the local area and its attractions. After spending some time with them we went to do one of the on site activities. The adventure sports facility is a 2 min drive from the hotel, just above it actually. Its a very basic one but still fun for beginners.Again the staff here were fantastic. The hotel also has a small but a decent gym with basic work out equipments. It looked neat n quiet n welcoming located right next to the spa.The Club also offers ayurvedic massages in its nicely done spa centre.

The restaurant has some amazing views. The food here was very good and once again the staff were excellent. A point to note here is that the naans and the uttapams were some of the best I have ever tasted and made fresh to your order!

In all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would in fact go out of my way to stay here again. The staff in every area were fantastic, friendly, attentive and great with children. It was one of the highs of Our Kerala trip staying at Club Mahindra and I wish we had stayed longer.

Highs: The natural untrained friendliness of the staff in the hotel, like even when one walks by teh corridors the housekeeping blokes will make it a point to smile and wish you.View from the room.Hotel location.

Lows : No air conditioner in any of the rooms. The bathroom : size and a little dated look and feel.

This hotel has splendid views all over the year but the laki is pretty dry during the off-peak time when I went . The resort is very good to catch glimpses of nature and scenery . It has splendid service and it caters to all sorts of people. It is vast in itself and has various activities and night safaris to catch the wild life in brief .

It is a highly recommended resort. For the price you pay , it is worth every penny you pay...

The only downside is that the food may be a bit expensive for some people, but that is negligible compared to the thrills u are going to get during your stay ...
