We spend two nights in this property on 14th and 15th June 2014. This property is located on a cliff offering beautiful views of the valley below. The room was fairly spacious, comfortable beds with big balcony where you can sit down to watch the view sipping a cup of coffee or tea. The bath room was modern and comfortable. The staff was very polite, courteous and willing to help.
This is the best place for nature lovers, away from the noise and traffic of the town.
However, the internet (wifi) was not working; the person on the reception kept on making false and misleading promises, rather coming clean about it. At night it was becoming difficult to sleep due to the high velocity winds which resulted in thumping sound/noise being made by the loose sheets on the roof of the cottage.

Room Tip: You can ask the staff to give you a room where the roof sheets are not loose, as it makes lot of noi...

My stay at The Wind was a short stay but i had a scenic view of the valley from the balcony especially the room which I stayed at the back of the reception had almost a 360* view of the valley with lots and lots of mesmerizing wind. Food was okay as we have to order and wait for at the least half an hour. Moreover, almost all dishes are being cooked by coconut oil, Kerala's flavour which is a little uncomfortable. The rooms were excellent and everything was clean and tidy which is very pleasing and staff were courteous too. I would like to visit 'The Wind' time and again.

People at The Wind only know how to earn money. They charged us 2200 for a cab that was suposed to take us to Top Station, the driver took us back mid way stating we have to go back but charged us in full 2200.

I stayed at Wind in April. Place is very good, people are courteous.Bur no internet facility and food service is okay as the staff neither understands hindi nor english properly. Morning tea is a problem...overall a comfortable stay.

I stayed at The Wind Munnar in June 2014. The view is just breathtaking. You can get a whole view of the valley in front of your room and the view is unobstructed by any other man made construction since there are no artificial construction around. The only thing you see on all sides is lush green trees. The property is situated a little off the Munnar town and that is why it is so much tucked away into nature. While coming here you have to pass through a place which is known as "Lockhart Gap". This "Lockhart Gap" is a place to see in itself. There you can see the vast expanse of tea estates.

The rooms at The Wind are good and every room has a private balcony overlooking the valley. During the evening you can hear the cricket making its typical sound created by rubbing its wings. Early in the morning you can listen to a myriad birds chirping. You will wake up to that sound but will fall asleep again because that sound actually helps you to sleep. I stayed for three nights and four days and everyday I used to enjoy these fine gifts of nature. I even came across a rainbow one day when the sun came up just after a small spell of rain. You will feel that you are in a fairyland.

Well now coming back from the dreamland into reality. The rooms have all the modern amenities and the toilets are spotless clean. The service is also good. Food was delicious. We did not expect this kind of service and tasty food in such a far off corner of the world. The MD Mr. Noby Abraham also arranged our cars for sight seeing.

Overall our stay was good and memorable. I would like to recommend the Wind munnar.

Room Tip: All rooms are with view so you can choose any. There is one room though which has a good lawn. You c...

A really good stay experience with my family at The Wind. Was there on 20th June 2014 for the next 3 days. The location and the layout of THE WIND really gives a middle-of-nature feeling. The view from the resort location is just mind blowing and beyond any explanation..The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The staff members are also very courteous and well behaved. I liked the food served as well. Its really a worth for money to be in such a place away from all the nasty traffic and city congestion.

Would be better for the first time to get in to the location before it gets dark as it is an interior location and i dont think there are street lights for the full length from the main road. Heavy slopes leading to the resort, but the roads are not bad, except for the last 50 feet or so. But again for people like me who lives in the city, that 50 feet reassures a feeling that we are stepping out into a different world.
