“5 star facilities and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

All the reviews we had read and photos we had seen, indicated we were in for an amazing experience. We were not disappointed.Amanda and Gary went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable time. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our 9 night stay Our evening meal there was the best we had in the area and the breakfasts lived up to our anticipation, especially when both were served on the terrace with a spectacular panoramic view. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. We shall definitely return to take advantage of this superb location- excellent restaurants within a 3 minute drive, fabulous canoeing nearby and world famous attractions within easy driving distance. Even the dogs were intent on making us feel welcome (or was that because of our supply of dog biscuits?)

Room Tip: End room on east side had a large covered sitting area-ideal to escape the very hot sun when we were...

Many other reviewers have done a wonderful job of explaining how positive of an experience it is to stay at La Bastide Sainte Anne and I completely agree with them. Beautiful grounds, clean and comfortable rooms, scenic and tasty breakfast, cozy pool, walking distance to town, etc. But most importantly, amazing hosts! Amanda is exactly what you picture in your mind when you think of the perfect B&B owner. Informative, kind, helpful......the list goes on. And on top of all of that, she has no idea how perfect it all is because her prices are so low! We were on a one month European honeymoon and not only was she the best host of any place we stayed, but it was also the least we paid. So you get a wonderful host, and a beautiful place to stay, along with large savings compared to their inferior competitors. It doesn't get any better than that! Have fun!!
TIP: Be 100% certain to eat at L'Amphitryon in town. You can walk to it. Take the quieter side road that Amanda recommends. It was one of the best meals we've ever had (ate there three times), and that's saying a lot considering we were all over France.

Room Tip: We stayed in two rooms and most enjoyed the one with the large stable door and the attached covered...

This was our second visit with friends & it was just as good as we remembered, if not better.
Gary has taken up cooking & our evening meal there was the best we had in the area, so dont give up this hobby Gary.
As usual Amanda made you feel so welcome & many places we have visited could take some tips from her!!!

My family stayed in three rooms over 3 days and we loved it. The house and grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were well appointed, clean, and self-contained. There's a great terrace view of Pont du Gard, and the many lovely local villages are in easy reach. Breakfast, as reported by others was great, and plentiful. Amanda and Garry were genial, enthusiastic and helpful hosts, who did all we could have asked of them, and more. Their advice on things to do, and help booking restaurants was appreciated. We loved playing with their friendly dogs. There is a lovely lounge, an outside seating area (as well as loungers outside the rooms below), and the (indoor) pool was warm with towels provided. An ideal location for families, or couples of any age. It is genuinely hard to fault. We had a great stay, and hope to come back.

Room Tip: All the rooms we used were nice (Rooms 1, 2 & 3).

We had a most wonderful stay at "La Bastide Sainte Anne". After a 10 hour drive we received a very warm welcome from our ever enthousiastic host Amanda! She offered us some drinks and introduced us to her 2 sweet dogs. She made us feel at home immediately.
Room 4 was prepared for us and it really was wonderful and romantic. Very spacious with all necessary comfort and a beautiful terrace.
The breakfast was a real delight!!! All you could ask for (fresh fruit, different kinds of bread, local cheeses, cold meat, yoghurt, softly boiled eggs, ...) in a most wonderful setting with views of the area and the Pont Du Gard.
For dinner Amanda had some really good suggestions including some at walking distance. We also had dinner at La Bastide one night and this was real value for money. Gary (Amanda's husband) is a very good cook and we had a lovely and romantic dinner at La Bastide.
I could go on for hours about our wonderful stay, but just go and check it out yourself!

We have been to France many, many times and stayed in many B & B's and La Bastide Sainte Anne tops the lot. We arrived very late for a one week stay and Amanda greeted us and made us feel very welcome from the outset. Amanda is a geat hostess, fun, friendly and full of knowledge. The breakfast on the terrace with a view of the Pont du Gard is out of this world. We celebrated an anniversary whilst there, Amanda prepared a beautiful dinner table and Garry cooked us a fabulous dinner that was worthy of a Michelin star. Amanda prepared 2 nourishing lunch baskets as we had an early departure on our final day. A beautiful couple, a beautiful location makes La Bastide Sainte Anne a vey special place.

Everything you read in the reviews is absolutely true! The rooms are superb with extremely comfy beds. they are clean and superbly decorated. Amanda is a real gem, she is welcoming, funny and informative. We stayed with friends and were treated to a blissful table de hote on Friday with the added bonus of being able to watch the light and firework display at the Pont de Gard. One of those nights that gets put down in the diary. Gary's cooking was sublime. I know it sounds gushing but it is all absolutely true

Room Tip: All are excellent
