It was a bit of a risk driving 3 hours from where we live for a day here, but I am so glad we did. This was actually the best wildlife park I have been to. There are so many opportunities to touch/feed the animals.
When we arrived we bought a few bags of the animal feed which was only £1 per bag and you can use this to feed the birds (peacocks, ducks, emu's) and wallaby's and kangaroo's and you can just walk around the park and feed all these when you want (when they want to come and see you).
You can also buy fish to feed penguins, leaves to feed the giraffes and grapes to feed the lemurs at the specific feeding times at £1 per go (hint, there is no cash point in the park, and you have to spend at least £5 to pay for these feeds by card, so buy it with your entry tickets, or be frustrated like we were 5 mins before the giraffe feeding thinking we wouldn't be able to do it and then having to buy drinks we didn't need). I have to say, paying £1 for 1 red grape to feed a lemur did make me feel a bit ripped off, until its little hands were on mine trying to get it!
Walking around the park is great, the animals have a lot of room to themselves and look really well looked after.
Monkeys roam freely through certain parts of the park, and you are not meant to touch these at all, however, when we were in the wallaby and kangaroo part of the park feeding them, the monkeys were jumping all over us to get the food (which was amazing).
The human food here isn't that great, and actually, taking a picnic would be a good idea, we went on a beautiful day when the weather was really hot, and t would have been nice to have our own good quality food, so consider that if its a good day. My jacket potato was vile, my boyfriends burger was even worse.
Kids would love this. I'm 26, my boyfriend 27 and we absolutely loved this place, I could have spent days there. And all in all for the day we had, the entry price is really cheap. Go, it's wonderful.
