Stayed for one night only (wish we could have stayed longer) on the way down the coast to Melbourne. We had a Lakeside Spa Villa/Apartment which was wonderful. Large bathroom - walk in shower and a spa bath (washing machine/dryer in laundry area). Large lounge/dining/kitchen open plan area. Bedroom on mezzanine floor with views out through the patio/veranda windows across the lake. Furnishings were modern, comfortable and clean throughout - large flatscreen TV and music centre. Private veranda and barbecue area overlooking the lake and gardens. Small pool and lounging area, lovely gardens, with a communal area for barbecues. Restaurant was not open as we were early season but the managers made us very welcome and we purchased a prepared home made meal from the freezer for our evening meal. Breakfast was supplied in a basket in our room for the next morning. The location of this property is beautiful and the kangaroos and birds surrounding the area amazing - would not hesitate to return if ever back in the area.

  • Liked — Views across the lake from the bedroom when waking in the morning!

We stayed here on the third night of our fly drive between Sydney & Melbourne (16th November 2007)

The accommodation was fantastic. We we're greeted by friendly staff who directed us to our apartment and then showed us round. Our tour operator had booked us in on a B&B basis and we were provided with a lovely breakfast basket which we ate outside on our patio area whilst taking in the view.

We stayed in a Lakeview Apartment which had a full kitchen - dishwasher, cooker etc. The kitchen was open plan with the dining area & lounge with large sliding door out your own patio area. The bedroom & en-suite was just what you needed after a long day exploring.

We stayed before the restaurant had opened but we're given good advice on where to eat if we wanted to venture out. We opted to eat in a purchased a very tasty home made frozen ready meal (cooked and frozen by the staff on site) We able to enjoy our evening and watch the sun set over the lake.

One of our favourite things about the accomodation was its location. It is situated on the banks of the Malllacoota Inlet with breathtaking scenery all around.

We would recommend a trip to Ben Boyd National Park, NSW. The roads are unsealed and badly rutted in some places but if you fancy seeing some dramatic coastline then its well worth it. The view of Disaster Bay is something we won't forget in a hurry.

We would recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling between Sydney & Melbourne. It was a shame we only stayed for one night - We could easily have stayed for a week.

  • Liked — Its location & breathtaking views
  • Disliked — Leaving, we could have stayed her for a week!
