Hotel is gorgeous ... sprawling grounds, many different places / pools to hang on the property, large rooms. Easy access into the Dead Sea itself for a therapeutic "dip" and mudbath. We were rather disappointed by the food (ie one night they tried to claim a fish dish was "Salmon" when it very clearly was more like a Cod!) but staff was very friendly, rooms comfortable and nice amenities, would absolutely stay there again. I was a little surprised that I accidentally left my coat in the closet (it was so that there is clearly no need for a coat!) and still haven't had the hotel contact me to ask about it! But would 100% recommend the hotel.

We`ve stayed at this hotel in one of the small apartments overviewing the Dead Sea, which actually is a life-time experience. We loved the fabulous Hotel Lobby, which was absolutely top of the building. Restaurant service was great too, they even prepared a fresh whole fish for us on request. Staff was more than helpful during the entire stay and made the trip memorable one. Concierge, limousine service and Breakfast were top notch. This is a hotel for demanding clients looking for warm touch of the staff. I also shall mention the hotel cosmetics, we just loved it and did visit the same factory shop in Amman to buy some more:-)

Stayed at the hotel for a corporate event last week. The facilities are good but the service was disappointing. The hotel has good access to the dead sea and has a number of pools. The place is huge and found the staff not very good at giving directions. Only one pool open after 7 pm but can't really do laps in that one. The spa is run by a completely different company and they charge extra for using any spa facility (pool, sauna etc). Food in the restraunts was ok, nothing special.

This was to be the highlight of our stay in Jordan, having travelled from Aqaba in the south through Wadi Rum, Petra etc. It proved disappointing which was a real shame. The hotel is very large and part of it seem deserted. It looks impressive but that's about as far as it goes. The beach area is not great. No drinks service other than free water from a booth plus beach towels. Uncomfortable sun beds. Access to the sea is not great and certainly if you are unsteady on your feet it would be difficult to get in. This put lots of people off. Despite the size of the hotel there are limited dining options (three actual restaurants). One restaurant (the Ashur) is so dark that you struggle to read the menu and forget trying to see the food. Also, check which wine you are brought as we ordered a bottle of Jordanian wine (perfectly drinkable) but did spot that an Italian wine was brought to the table instead. A hefty price tag. On challenging the staff they turned rather aggressive. We were also overcharged for drinks around the pool area. In mitigation the hotel Assistant Manager did try and sort things out and was very apologetic. Not great though. Rooms are OK, clean and good service. Bathrooms are the best part of the room. Large and modern. Lighting in the rooms is not good. Nice touch of free min bar. Take a look at the Movenpick next door. Seemed nice with more choice of food in restaurants. Better shops. Bit more hilly though with more steps but better access to the sea. Also worth noting there is nothing near these hotels so once there you are rather trapped. Fine if you want sun and pool. Spa very expensive so gave it a miss. Plenty of free mud on the beach.

Room Tip: We were in the Ishtar rooms close to the beach. Very nice views of the sea.

I have 4 event in this resort for 2012 with around 400 night/ 2012, and unfortunately as a net feedback , I am very upset toward this resort 's service and staff's attitude . Sorry for saying that but I can say that this resort deserves the worst service between all other area's resorts . I hope those obstacles will be solved as soon as possible

From what seems like a very austere exterior reveals a temple like atmosphere with high ceilings, clean lines, soft grey and stone colour interiors drawing the eye outward through the huge windows to the incredible view. The focus is always on the view.
The butler service and business center are top class.
The food unfortunately was a huge disappointment, especially that this is a 5 star establishment. The Thai restaurant served substandard food. The service was also very slow. The Italian restaurant is located right near the beach and seemed to have a better chef, but the apple cake I had as dessert contained no apples, and the main course I thought was way over priced.
The room I had in the main building was lovely - clean and I liked the turn down service - although no chocolate was left on my pillow. Mini bar is free, the bathroom amenities are ok, although I recommend you bring your own hair conditioner, TV channels show BBC and CNN and Al Jazeera in English.
I borrowed DVD movies from the business center to watch in my room. Not much entertainment happening at the hotel, so come prepared to enjoy your solitude.
