“Adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

A cheap n cheerful hotel, with a really good sea front access that is being improved, but don't expect too much. After three calls to house keeping for an iron and ironing board, I gave up and went for sun downer drinks in a case crumpled shirt. The bar drinks were expensive, as was the evening meal - for what it was. The free internet in the sports bar was impossibly slow, and breakfast service was very slow, but the hotel is a fraction of the price of it neighbours.
The hotel was built a while ago, and it shows, the rooms are basic, but what do you actually need, you have gone to see the dead sea
If you come with the right mind set, this can be a great hotel, but don't expect 5*

My husband and I visited Jordan - Dead Sea back in June 2013 and I can say it was a great experience. Our stay at Dead Sea Spa Hotel was very good, calm and relaxing. The hotel has great location near all the remaining hotels, walking distance from Mariott, Kempinski and Movenpick which we visited for dinner. The beach at Dead Sea Spa Hotel is nice and clean, and you can have access to free mud. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the hotel offers a variety of international buffet breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is Average in comparison to neighboring hotels, the rooms & toilets are spacious & clean to very good standards, and nice balcony. no free mini bar slow room service. the location is good however the hotel its more oriented towards families with children so expect a lot of children screaming and running around the pools area. the beach area is more quite.

also its therapy spa, many people come hear with various skin diseases, if you have skin problem they have many options to help you, but if you want a relaxing nice beach stay, I recommend that you go somewhere else.

the restaurant food is ok, and the quality of food is good. check in, check out was sooth. the balcony should open from outside too,but ours did not. we were locked outside & could not go back to the room on the 2nd floor we spent around 20 -30 mins shouting for help to get reception to send someone to open the door. I think it was hilarious I could not stop laughing, it was evening, it could have been more serious if that happen at midday.

after all it was ok to stay here, but I don't think I want to go there unless I have children.

Room Tip: ask for rooms with sea view

Thank you for posting your review.. At certain seasons mainly in Summer we accommodate families with children at special prices and we offer a more relaxing experience for hotel guests in our hotel quiet pool. A complete wellness Spa is being added to the hotel and should be operational by fall of this year to make your next stay a more enjoyable experience. Thank you for staying at the Dead Sea Spa Hotel

The hotel it self is not than bad. But the service is just awful and this people really can make your trip horrible. They are incredible unpolite! I spend two days there and I just wanted to run away. They charge me twice at the pool restaurant and I never got my money back. (no one apologies for it)
Everything that I asked for it was so difficult to get from them that I ended up getting it for my self. You have to pay for every single thing... even for the pool towers, I could not believe it!
The beach area look like is still in construction, everything is very dirty and not well maintain at all.
I would suggest to everyone to pay a bit more and to have a real relaxing experience with a good quality service.... Even if they go just for the day!

It a pleasant stay, however the booking experience was misleading. I thought I was booking another hotel but booked this one and was happy with the choice in the end. The rooms are spacious and clean and there is complimentary water in the room. We arrived around 5 pm and needed to wait a little bit for the room, but it was fine as it took less than 15 mins. The wi-fi passwords were provided free of charge. The breakfast selection offered is extensive and it was very good. The towels for the beach are provided and the pools are nice to relax by.

On the downside: Door handles in the bathroom fell out. The buffet dinner is 22JD - not great if you are not that hungry.

Overall a pleasant experience.

Stayed here for one night & got a great room - very spacious & plush. Tea/coffee making facilities a bonus with complimentary bottles of water! Very comfy bed. Excellent shower.
The hotel has 2 pool areas - one larger area open to the public & a smaller pool only for hotel guests.
Food was geared very much towards western tastes (which for me is not a good thing). I was very disappointed by breakfast as there was no fresh fruit & no local foods (eg labneh, hummus or flat bread) - however if you like eggs & cooked breakfasts you'll be fine.

This is our first stay in the dead sea. We were 2 families (4 adults and a baby) and all other hotels were crowded and fully-booked, so we thought of staying in the Dead Sea Spa hotel on Fri 6/7/2013 and Sat 6/8/2013.

We got the rooms 424 and 425. Both rooms were spacious and have a pool view. There are 5 pools in this hotel: 3 for adults and 2 for kids, and a nice beach.

Our experience in this hotel was very good, the pools were good and warm, the dinner buffet had some good options, the receptionists and security staff were VERY HELPFUL. Special thanks to them.

Few things I didn't like about this hotel: The bed and pillows were not comfy (at least for me). My wife liked them. The key cards stopped working few times and we had to go to the reception to fix them. The room was smelly few times. The upper pool was booked for a private party on Friday 6/7/2013 although it should be for hotel residents. The dinner didn't include beverages (not even Water) but we could order a drink with an extra charge.

I recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms 424 and 425 (pool view) were very good.
