“Very relaxing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Stayed here for one night & got a great room - very spacious & plush. Tea/coffee making facilities a bonus with complimentary bottles of water! Very comfy bed. Excellent shower.
The hotel has 2 pool areas - one larger area open to the public & a smaller pool only for hotel guests.
Food was geared very much towards western tastes (which for me is not a good thing). I was very disappointed by breakfast as there was no fresh fruit & no local foods (eg labneh, hummus or flat bread) - however if you like eggs & cooked breakfasts you'll be fine.

This is our first stay in the dead sea. We were 2 families (4 adults and a baby) and all other hotels were crowded and fully-booked, so we thought of staying in the Dead Sea Spa hotel on Fri 6/7/2013 and Sat 6/8/2013.

We got the rooms 424 and 425. Both rooms were spacious and have a pool view. There are 5 pools in this hotel: 3 for adults and 2 for kids, and a nice beach.

Our experience in this hotel was very good, the pools were good and warm, the dinner buffet had some good options, the receptionists and security staff were VERY HELPFUL. Special thanks to them.

Few things I didn't like about this hotel: The bed and pillows were not comfy (at least for me). My wife liked them. The key cards stopped working few times and we had to go to the reception to fix them. The room was smelly few times. The upper pool was booked for a private party on Friday 6/7/2013 although it should be for hotel residents. The dinner didn't include beverages (not even Water) but we could order a drink with an extra charge.

I recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms 424 and 425 (pool view) were very good.

Thank you for the review posted on TripAdvisor. I have asked the management to have a wider selection of pillows upon demand with a note in the rooms in order to make your future stay with us a more comfortable one..

I live in Amman and stayed at this hotel for one night to get away from the city. I found the room to be comfortable, modern, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was spotless, except for some mildew on the shower curtain. I'm not sure if this is the case in all of the rooms, but our room had a DVD player built into the TV. They don't have a DVD library at the front desk, but if you want to watch a movie at night, you could bring your own. My only complaint about the room is that the front desk neglected to inform us that we had to leave one of our room keys plugged into the wall in order to keep the mini fridge going while we were out. I found this to be unusual and a little frustrating.

The grounds are beautiful and the beach front is quite nice. The groundsmen harvest mud from the Dead Sea daily and deposit it into concrete tubs near the waterfront so that the guests can cover their bodies with mud. There are also showers right by the sea for those who prefer to remove the salt and mud before hiking back up to the pool area.

There are four pools: the one closest to the main building is only for guests and has comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas, and is quite clean. There is also a lap pool and a kiddie pool, which looked rather green. Finally, there is a pool with a water slide. The area around this pool looked like it needed a little work; the lounge chairs had no pads, and there was very little shade.

We were able to stay for the afternoon after we checked out of the hotel, which was nice. The only drawback was that there are no private shower stalls in the bathhouse near the pool, only an open area with four shower heads facing the crowd.

Lastly, the breakfast was pretty good. There was a large buffet with waffles and omelets made to order, and we were able to sit outside at a table overlooking the sea. If you prefer to take your other meals on-site, there is a sports bar with sandwiches or a buffet for 21 JD per person.

We staid for 2 nights at this hotel. it was a great relaxation experience and had facilities for enjoyment of the whole family .
My kids loved the slide at the aqua fun center and had casual meals by the pool.
i enjoyed the sun bathing the great room quality , cleanliness and excellent service from friendly and hospitable staff.
the food was plenty and many choices on the breakfast and dinner buffets.
i recommend this hotel to any family wishing to have a happy vacation for a couple of days.

The reception staff were probably the most unhelpful that you could come across!. Everywhere else, the service was slow, lacking the politeness that you would expect from such a resort hotel.

Good location, but with several other hotels to choose from on the doorstep of this one, my recommendation would be to go somewhere else

We rolled up in our hired car and enquired at security about a 1 night stay. At reception we were greeted by frosty staff, something which was a pointer for staff attitudes for the duration of our stay. The only friendly ones were a couple of the waiters and some of the pool area cleaners.

Won't moan about the rooms or cleanliness, however at the price and supposed star rating you'd expect decent standards.

Dinner was completely spoiled by a family with young children who seemed to think it was OK for the kids to run around the restaurant screaming and banging into other diner's tables. Sadly, the staff didn't seem too bothered by this obnoxious behaviour.

All over, if you're staying in this location have a look at the other options available. A few extra Dinars may get you a room in a better managed and better quality place than this.

Room Tip: Rooms around 302 - 310 seem far enough away from pools/bar etc to give peace at night.

I think they really need to train the staff how to treat the customers nicely. They deserve poor rates because of the ignorant and unfriendly staff, can't believe how could they employ those kind of staff in this kind of hospitality especially 4 stars hotel????
