“Best 5* Hotel I've ever stayed in!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Quite simply the best 5* hotel I've ever stayed in. Not only were the rooms luxurious with great details like large flat screen tv, a beautiful bathroom and wonderful bathroom products, the staff were all without exception extremely helpful and friendly. Every single member of staff checked if we were having a good stay and if we needed anything. If we needed mineral water at midnight-the receptionist got it for us. The pools and jacuzzis were stunning. Beach access, towels, showers etc were all great. The breakfast- including European and Arabic components- was the best breakfast I have ever had with an unbelievable selection from fresh pancakes and waffles, to fruit, to European hot/cold breakfasts and Arabic fare. And all this for £105 a night is unbelievable value. There is so much to see and do in the rest of Jordan too, yet we were gutted to have to leave the Dead Sea Marriott! I will DEFINITELY visit again just for a relaxing break, at this wonderful hotel. Thank you for an a amazing stay

While we had a bit of a delay at check-in, we found this property to be beautiful, well-located and a perfect way to wind up our trip to Jordan. The grounds are nicely landscaped and offer a variety of pools and restaurants as well as access to the Dead Sea for a float and mud bath. It seemed to attract a very young, urban Jordanian crowd while we were there which was a nice change from some of the other places we stayed. If you can get a balcony overlooking the Dead Sea, the sunset views are unforgettable.

I stayed there for there days/two nights. My stay was not as expected from a marriott hotel. Initially one of the guards who's name is omar was totally impolite as I went with him through a discussion while getting the digital thermometer and the medicine for my sick son from the car . He was totally un proffessional and even raise his voice shouting. As for the service at the pool ,it was really poor as I had to call the waiter for there times just to take the order and once I asked for a very cold big amstel draft beer , I received a warm beer and his excuse was that there is lot of demand that exceeded there refrigeration capacity, later he took the beer back to put it in the freezer to cool ,but the surprising was that he brought the beer back with cubs of ice in it. As to fix the situation he took it back and brought me corona in a bottled glass but the surprising also is that the 330ml bottle filled their big glass. As far as I know when ever you ask for a big glass of beer it should be a pint and not less but still they charged me for the big size. As for there restaurants such as champions and il terrazzo , frankly I say that money paid vs quality and quantity is too much . In this hotel everything is over charged. As for their breakfast compared to other jordanian hotels in dead sea, aqaba or amman , it is of less quality and variety. There are lots of stories to tell but from the very end , I don't recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at the Dead Sea Marriott. It's an enormous, beautiful hotel and many of the rooms have amazing views of the Dead Sea. Because of the size, expect some lengthy walks back and forth to your room from the pools, restaurants etc. The service was great, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The hotel provides plastic shoes to wear in the Dead Sea which are very necessary. They are free. There was also a bucket of mud to plaster over our bodies before entering the sea. The experience is very special indeed.

There was a mix up with our groups dining accommodations one evening. They had tried to put 50 of us in the sports bar for burgers and soda. YUK! Most of us ended up in the dining room but I was told that we were not going to be allowed in there because there were other Jordanian groups. Hmmm..... The facilities, the grounds, the food, and lobby area was super! The Dead Sea experience was memorable for a lifetime.

The free Wifi accessibility was only in the main lobby area which was tough when you are 5000 miles from home and want to contact family members.

The rooms were nice and as had a balcony where we could go out and look at the scenery that was a huge plus.

The hotel is old, yet the service is top, the food was great, rooms were great but most important I got great service from the staff at the resturant and the pool. They went above and beyond to make a very busy hotel feel like you the only guest.

The price was high when you compare it to other much newer hotel in the area with much better pools, but it is worth the money.

Room Tip: Do not bring food with you, they will not allow it in.

Excellent services and facilities. Warmest outdoor pool ever. Restaurants all offer good choice and service.
Not much to see in the immediate location of hotel but plenty in spa and gym or relax at poolside. Ideal place to sample Dead Sea experience.
