“Best Resource in Dead Sea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We finished our Jordan trip here. This Marriott was fantastic. The rooms, lobby, pools ,spa etc were excellent. We only stayed a night and wish we could have stayed longer as it was very relaxing.Dinner in the Italian restaurant was very good.We were looked after by Emillion who could not have enough for us.We highly recommend him as his service/attention was outstanding.

As a Marriott reward member, I finally chose Marriott instead of Movenpick as my friend told me about excellent stay at Movenpick. My decision proved right when I and my wife stayed three nights in May.
Various pools, Nice dead sea experience, helpful staff, nice food and all others helped us enjoying our stay. We will come back again.

Room Tip: Pool side room better.

At check-in was requested to read & sign a paper to confirm that I understood check out was at noon & charges would be applied if this was breached - a first for me.
Got to the room & it was not clean enough for a 5* hotel. Piece of what looked like nasal discharge on the wall above desk. Went down to reception - they changed my rm to a Dead Sea View, which was nice - but still the room was not that clean. Bed was comfy though.
Dinner - oh there is only sparkling or still ... no free filtered water .... but you can have free hot water. WHAT?????
200+ rooms - you better get to b/fast early as by 9am the place is heaving with people and lots of happy kids. Not a place for honeymooners.
There's also a weird system for use of the spa.
Only thing going for this place is the staff - seems like the agency getting them workers from the Philippines is doing a GREAT job.
Hotel is dire need of a renovation. Bathrm sink cracked.... Yeah next time I'll try another hotel.
I was happy to leave & did not breach the check out time.

This might just be the best hotels we ever have stayed in. Lots of pools space. Several restaurants from medium to high. Nice rooms and clean, clean.Nothing within walking distance except the Dead Sea.

Room Tip: Only drawback is that there is nothing much nearby.

Giving a mark to this hotel has been quite difficult.

If you are looking for a resort type of hotel, children-friendly with several swimming pools, good animation in the evening (especially during the week-end), this is the place for you
The staff is really nice and professional, the views on the dead sea splendid and the breakfast great.

If, on contrary, you are looking for a place to relax after an intensive week of visits of Jordan, not sure this is the place to be.
As far as we were concerned, we arrived at the Marriott in the late afternoon after an early morning wake-up due to a hot air balloon in the Wadi Rum.
We stayed in a Duplex suite which was nice, as there is a living room downstairs and two rooms upstairs with their dedicated bathrooms.
The issue is that, as the room was just upstairs one of the bar, the music was so loud that it was not possible for our two kids to sleep at 11 pm despite their 5 am wake-up. The music stopped at the bar around 11.30 pm but unfortunately there was a private event, still within the Marriott grounds, that still prevented us to sleep.
What made me the most angry is that despite our call to the front desk on Saturday night and the mention when checking out that the noise partly ruined our experience, we had not received a single excuse from the hotel management. I think it would have been motivated.

In brief, if you are looking for a very good resort, this is your place, if you are looking for a place where you can sleep, especially during the week-end, I'm afraid this is not.

This is a great place to stay. Nice premises, multiple pools, access to the Dead Sea, spas, restaurants, a bar to smoke a hookah. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful. I really enjoyed my dip and mud bath in the Dead Sea. This is a great place to stay if you visit.

Two days ago i stayed with my wife and kids in room No. 279 with pool view. I enjoyed my time the staff were giving attention to every person staying there. The Spa was free two years ago but now to use it they charge you 15 JD for sauna & Jacuzzi. The evening there is very attractive to see the sunset.
I recommend this hotel even it too expensive.

Room Tip: Book the room with sea or pool view. Room No. 275, 276, 277, 278, 279
