Best catering ever! Nice room and service, good location, near to the beach. Pools from 120-130 cm, beach good for kids. 80-90% german guests, a lot of kids and families. Every night Kids Disco. In front of the hotel small supermarket, apotheke. Beach 5 min walk. Bus station at the hotel, cheap tickets. ATM 100m.

Room Tip: Upper levels quite

We stayed at this Turkish hotel with All Inclusive plan. This 9 year old hotel has been refurbished two years ago and you can see they have put a lot of attention into the details. As a person who works a lot in and with hotels I am very very demanding on the level of maintenance and appearance. I could hardly find anything wrong in this hotel, in general it is a fantastic property with all the services and aminities you need during holidays. The staff is very kind and helpful, and although they speak German predominantly there is no problem for getting anything you need.
WiFi for free in lobby only is something they need to reconsider, I think in 2013 WiFi should be available throughout the whole hotel. But it is minor thing, it avoids being online the whole time, :) And for me the matrasses are too stiff.
I recommend this hotel for its high quality service, food and drinks and the state the building and rooms are in.

We spent two weeks at the Grand Hotel Artside with another family - 4 adults an 4 kids of 11, 8, 6 and 3 years. We knew that this was a predominantly German-focused hotel before we booked and we have to reiterate other reviewers' comments about the lack of good English-speaking staff (apart from Katie on reception - our saviour!). Their German was very good; my dodgy O-level German from 20 years ago made for some interesting drinks orders but meant that we struggled with the kids clubs and evening entertainment.

Once a week you are able to book a table in one of the specialist restaurants. We were there for two weeks. The food in the Chinese and Italian restaurants was curious and cold. Very little on either menu bore any resemblance to food from these two cultures but the red wine was very good (although cost extra)! Worth going for a laugh and for a break from the canteen-style buffet.

We knew, being August, that it would be extremely hot and if wall-to-wall sun and heat is your thing then you'll be well served. The air conditioning in our room was necessary but very noisy, hence the low sleep quality score. At least I was awake at 06:45 to put towels out.

Finally, a note to anyone considering taking youngsters who want to take advantage of the on-site henna tattoo artist. AVOID IT as the henna is mixed with an ingredient of black hair dye, PPD. This caused a severe reaction in my son that two weeks later is still causing problems and is likely to scar (see enclosed photo) and cause lifelong hypersensitivity. Fortunately it's put him off tattoos for life!!

Would we go again? No, but this is probably as this is a resort aimed predominantly at German tourists; and we're not German, and with hindsight we didn't realise how much this would affect our holiday.

I went to this hotel with 2 friends and we were pleasantly surprised: a clean, modern hotel with a good price quality. A great pool area, the food was super: good choice, fresh and presented in a tasteful way.

It is in a quiet location. The only downside is that their communication happens in... german. English or French is really a problem for 80% of the staff, but that said, they try their best to help you in different languages.

Very good spa as well.
Nice hotel to spend a (short) week.

We've just come back from a week at this hotel.
It was a last minute booking through you travel.
The hotel itself is very good and spotless with everything you would need all in the hotel.
The food was as good as any food I've ever had abroad there was so much to choose from and some of the displays were very impressive. There was even a BBQ with the evening meal to add a bit of variety to the meals. I recommend trying one of the Ala Cart restaurants.
The rooms were of a good standard with air con safe etc and tv but with only a few English channels.
Beware before booking tho this is a German hotel there was only five British people in the whole hotel and we were three of them.
All the animation team aim all there daily program at the Germans and speak in German not Turkish or English but some of them spoke English when they spoke to us.
The staff overall spoke German constantly apart from a very helpfull English lady on the reception called Katie who was working over there for the summer she couldn't do enough for us.
We got friendly with a Turkish waiter called Fathi who was learning English and didn't speak German at all he told us that he didn't speak to any of his colleagues all day because they spoke German to each other.
I would go again to this hotel but in a larger group
Overall it's a great hotel with high standards And I would go back but not just three of us
