We had a fantastic two weeks at the Alba Resort and would highly recomend it to most people although I do think wheelchair users may have difficulty, as some of the ramps are very steep. The rooms are basic but more than adequate with a hair dryer in the bathroom, a mini bar with free bottles of water and pop which were replaced daily. The food was excellent and I'm sure even the fussiest of people could find something they liked. You could eat from about 7am until around 9.30pm if you wanted to, and as well as the main resteraunt there are 2 poolside snack bars serving drinks from morning until late at night, basket type meals and pizza from noon until about 6pm, another overlooking the beach (which we didn't use), the Italian al a carte and fish al a carte which you could book once each week at no extra charge. The bar in the reception is open 24/7 and even cocktails are included in the price. Everwhere is kept spotlessly clean and all the staff very friendly and they all seem to like the British although there are a lot of Germans we did not find this a problem. The animation team were fantastic, worked really hard and are a credit to the hotel. The pools are great, one being for those who wish to relax and the other more lively, as well as a seperate pool for kiddies. The grounds are spacious, landscaped and well maintained and includes a football pitch (not full sized), tennis courts, play areas, mini zoo and ponds.
We have already booked to back again in October AND in May next year that's how much we enjoyed our holiday and consider it great value for money.

We just returned from a great two week holiday here. We have 3 children, 12, 10 and 4 and they also had a great time. The accommoation... although a little 'dated' was clean and our adjoining family rooms were big and had great views. Very comfortable.

The food was varied but slightly lacking in fresh fruit and veg. The dining staff very friendly and helpful.

The animation team were amazing. VERY hardworking, they really work hard to put on great evening shows. The kids club looked fun but the workers only seemed to speak German so our kids didn't attend. However, there are plenty of other things to do for children at the hotel.

There are plenty of excursions to go on and places to see nearby... very easy to get taxis or 'mini buses' into town right outside the hotel. The beach was also awesome.

Overall, I would highly recommend this as a great place to holiday for couples and families.

had a lovely time.. really nice hotel with great staff esp animation team who were very friendly, and work bloody long hours!!! didnt find a problem with them speaking english and they always tried to talk to you even if they had little english, they looked fantastic with the kids esp the men (boys)in the animation team seemed to love the babies - aaaah!!!. Building work right oppsite our room though bit dissapionted ,but it wasnt tooo noisy!!!

I read many good review about Alba Resort and was most shocked to find out that the familly room we booked was actually a standard room with two additional beds. Hotel and also local travel agent tried to persuade that this is OK ... this was very disapointing and the reception people and manager were not nice .... Well I made my point at the end, the at least one day of holidays was spoiled. Also most of the waiters in the restaurant looks like they are on their first job ....

Surroundings are great - should be an excelent hotel. The good thing also - food. Both variety and quality.
