Me, my partner and our 2 friends returned home from this hell hole today... upon arival we where ushered into our rooms where the rep did the welcome meating... which should have been done in the bar area. There wasnt much info given in the meetin only that they did the best trips (me and my partner both new this was a lie as we have been to turkey befor) our friends did the trips and payed £97 EACH for a booze cruiz, a trip down bar street and a trip to club pacha... club pacha was 15tl to enter which was included in there price, they also had a 4hour free bar in which they both got there drinks spiked in 2 hours into the night... my female friend had had 2 drinks and the male friend had 3... yet they where layed on the floor and couldnt move near enough choking on there own vomit. We were informed by text in the early hours what had happened and rushed to the hospital to find my female friend on a drip and the total bill from the hospital was 890tl which is roughly £380... but as they had had one drink each there insurance didnt cover it and that hospital didnt do drugs test to sort the problem out... when i told the rep she didnt seem intrested and they where sat down stairs for an hour befor she bothered to come and ask if they was even ok. Befor they went to club pacha every turk they told they where going there had a look of concern and told them to stick together and look after each other as the same thing happens every week (we didnt know what this same thing was) but if all the turks new this then surely the reps did so why take you somewhere that is dangerous??
our rooms where shocking, the pillow cases was dirty, the mirrow looked like it had had mud splashed up it, the shower didnt work, our fire exit was blocked, there was wires and pipes hanging out of gaping holes in the wall and holes in the doors... just to name a few.
On one of the nights both bar men told us they had to shut the bar area early because the police said so... yet when we went into our rooms our friends saw the bar men sprawled over the pool table with 2 scottish girls doing god knows what.
i have been to turkey several times myself and have never ever experienced something as descusting as this.
I think we would have probably been more comfy in a hostle... for over a week the maid didnt enter our room not even to empty the bin which you are ment to put your used toilet paper in. Also there where straightners, make-up, i-pods and someones engagement ring went missing amongst other things which of corse was never explained.

i travelled here with my gfriend as a kind of last minute all we could afford thing so we werent expecting to much...and we werent dissapointed, this hotel is an absolute joke of a place so much so we moved and paid this out our own money as the reps said there was no free apartments...well we managed 2 get 1...2 blocks down. This place was a nightmare we arrived at 7am and were told after over 12 hrs of travelling in total (from door to door) we HAD to go 2 welcome meeting or we would not get our passports back, this was mearly a con 2 get us 2 book theyr excursions when they realised we werent intrested neither were they with us.We stayed a total of 3 nights here and never got more than 2 hrs sleep a night wih people rioting every night slamming doors shouting screaming,we had to cancel a boat trip because we were so tired we knew we would never enjoy it. on arrival we thought "ok we knew it was going to be basic" but holes in the wall? bare electrical wires? i was 7 years in the building trade and i know dodgy when i see it,in the 3 days there not a maid to b seen 2 even empty our toilet bin. we reported this 2 hotel staff and reps...nothing done finally we had enough and we moved 2 blocks down and what a difference. On summary DO NOT GO HERE the place is a dump staff are rubbish and cant speak a word of english,we only went here 4 cheapness and ended up spending what we would have to go to like a 4 star place in finish up on moving paying 4 new accomodation and air con etc,if you want a cheap hol 2 turkey dont go here save up a wee bit more and go somewhere nicer like a side street with a tent.Cant stress 2 you all how absolute crap this place was a million thumbs down and all my toes 2!!!!!!!

1, put steps in the swimming pool so we can get out of.
2. clean the swimming pool, grout between tiles black.
3. clean tiles in bathroom as same as swimming pool.
4. prices in bar are alot more expensive than other hotels.
5. decorate.
6. just a better standard as we don,t come on holiday to be made miserable by our surroundings

went 1830's wasnt expecting much cause of reviews i'd read before leaving. but had pretty good time but would recommend going self catering rather than bed and breakfast as there is no fridges in hotel side but apartments do and rooms bigger. i found staff really friendly and helpful not sleazy at all as i had read on prev reveiws.

I have just returned from Turkey on tues and i have never been so disgusted with my accomodation. This was my 11th time in Marmaris and i have always stayed in such lovely hotels. I expected the Baris to be basic as it is a club 18 to 30s hotel, however what i didn't expect was the low standard of cleanliness. Dure in my one week stay my room was not mopped and the bedding or towels were not changed. The smell down the hall ways was repulsive. My friend moved her bed slightly to find tried blood on the floor from the previous occupent.
When we first arrived we were ushered into our room by the club 18/30s rep Danny, bare in mind there was 6 of us, in one tiny un airconditioned room after a 10 hour travelling day. The last thing you want is to listen to selling speil. He wanted us to pay over £100 to join in the 18 to 30s activities, we politely explained that we know the area well and we will be doing our own thing. The rest of the hol Danny more or less ignored us. until about the fourth day when he put a note under our door asking us to all conveine in one room at a certain time. He never turned up for this meeting and after half an hour of waiting we gave up. When we later saw him round the pool, he told us to guess what the meeting was meant to be about. two days later he finally told us that it was to try and sell us yet another trip.
Once Danny had left us to our room, we realised that despite been self catering, we had no cups, glasses or even plates. When i complained at reception, they tried to give me disposible plastics cups. Our friends in another room realised at 11pm that they had not kettle, they rang down to reception who advised they would be right up with one. My friends were then banged up at 3am, to be given the kettle! We also realised we had no towels and i have never known a hotel to expect you to provide my own toilet roll. We also had to complain as our balcony door would not lock, this was never fixed throughout our stay.
We paid £50 per room (150 in total) for air-con that was from the stone age. opening the door and window had more of affect then the air-con did.
The noise levels in the hotel were ridiculous between 3 and 5am, this was not due to the hotel bar, but the customers carrying on, Nothing was done to control this behavour, it was just ignored by the staff.
Luckily the people at Club Atrium were nice enough to let us user their amenities, so we didnt have to spend so much time at Baris. The place wants a goverment health warning and closing down!

when booking the holiday me and my friend was so excited but then we came back to look at the bad reviews it had!!! however we got there and had the most amazing time !! the staff where so helpfull and couldnt do more for us they were lovely people and even came out on nights out when the whole 18-30's went out. the reps are amazing... (danny) is such a laugh and makes your holiday something to remember... we didnt spend alot of time in our room only to get ready and to sleep the rooms are not amazing but one of the best ive seen for 18-30's. our bathroom did have a little puddle after having a shower but by the tim 2 girls had finished getting ready it was ok. the rooms are a good size the beds are actually very comfortable!!to sum this hotel up you get what you pay for and you make your own holiday as fun or as boring as you like. all in all we had the best holiday ever marmy 2010!!!!!!!

I came here with my boyfriend for two weeks, and we werent expecting a lot for the money we payed for it ! But we were really surprised considering all the bad reviews we had read before we went ! The rooms are basic but clean, the people who work in the hotel are so helpful, but if you break anything they will expect you to pay and they can rip u off so haggle with them ! we smashed plates by accident cause the floor was wet and my boyfriend slipped and they wanted 100TL, but they actually forgot about it so we got away with it !! the reps danny and laura were brilliant, such a good laugh but they can pressure u into buying things but i suppose thats their job ! but you can get all of the excursions far cheaper from the guys on the street. it does get loud at night, but if your going 18-30 what do you expect? the noise only bothered the people who werent really into the nightlife and who were in their beds early and didnt go out ! the food and drink at the hotel was far cheaper than any bar and was not pricey at all compared to every where else ! and it was only a short walk down to the beach front which is so much cheaper than bar street ! the people we met were amazing, they totally made the holiday ! the only ting that i didnt like about the hotel that was everytime you went for a shower the bathroom flooded, but apart from that it was amazing !! if your going bed and breakfast, dont expect a fry up or anything, its boiled egg and bread which isnt really that nice ! we only ate it towards the end of the holiday when we were skint ! would definately go back but would go self catering ! xxxx
