We stayed here two nights while on a family vacation in Monteverde. There is not a wide selection of hotels here, and this one looked better than many. That said, our room the first night was on the top floor, it was extremely small, top covers where weathered and the bathroom had not been redone in years. The wind was astonishing and kept us up a lot of the night. At one point there was no water, but it was fixed quickly. For the second night we moved down to a room by the garden, which was like moving to a different hotel. While still rustic, it was bigger, more quiet and had an updated bathroom. The second night was much better. The staff was very friendly and helpful and overall we had a great time in Monteverde. If you go here, try to get a garden room.
