“Nice bosque.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Unfortunately we only had one hour to explore this nice little forest close to our hotel. The care taker allowed to get in past closure time and waited for us to leave. We loved it and recommend it. People around say that this is one of the best sots to see animals in Santa Elena-Monteverde area. In no time we'd seen an armadillo. We saw a couple of other animals during our short visit.
Not too pricey.

“The place for nature lovers!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

This little place was a bit hard to find but the locals highly recommended it and I know why. The property is well preserved and the trails well maintained. It is not overrun with tourist so you can take your time and actually see things. The guy at the ticket booth was very helpful and told us which trails were more likely to have the wildlife we wanted to see. The trees were breathtaking!

“Many quetzals , excellent guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

This was a great reserve, we saw 5 quetzels. Not dense like a Monteverde, this was a farm, mostly secondary forest, and wide open space.

“Amazing wildlife viewing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

We were recommended this instead of the Monteverde or Santa Elena reserves and it was excellent. Our guide José really knew his birds and animals and was determined we would see a Quetzal. We did - a male and female. We saw lots of other birds as well as butterflies and a few animals.

“Great reserve!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

We truly enjoyed this reserve with few tourists and saw quite a bit of wildlife (2 quetzals, a toucan, a coati, etc). Our guide was terrific!
