“GOOD LOOKING HOTEL”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Stayed in this hotel as part of a coach tour 7th Dec for 3 nights was better than i had expected nice clean room and bathroom bedding etc tea/coffee making facilities and a bonus for me as a smoker A smoking room the whole off the first floor in this hotel allowes smoking so if you are a non smoker book a higher floor,Bar area was fairtly small but the bar and waiting staff very nice and helpful also the rececption staff, drinks and food lovely if a little expensive breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice and was included in the price considering the cost of this trip with Ledger it was a excellent deal, one word of warning if you go to brussels for the christmas markets take extra care with your money my friend had her pocket picked and all her money taken but this hotel does provide a free safe so go here with confidence

Room Tip: First floor for smokers

Stayed at Mercure for two times already. Very good location - close to the airport with free shuttle service. Both times had a room with the street view, not noisy at all. Comfortable rooms, good service and food. Strongly recommend.

Stayed here with a large group. Room on second floor at the back. Not sure how noisy it would be on the front of the hotel? Our room was quite hot despite putting on air con. Room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Everything you need is provided from tea, coffee, sugar, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap and even shoe shine! I think this is a nice touch. There is also a phone, fridge and desk. The bathroom is nice, plenty of room and seperate shower space. The plug sockets are slightly annoying as my phone charger is an awkward shape and doesn't fit so I had to put it in the lamp shade plug. There is free wifi which is easy to connect to, you can also purchase the internet to get a faster download speed.

I can't comment much on the location as we were provided coach travel. However, there is a tram station just at the end of the road. It didn't take us long to get to this hotel from Calais, roughly 3 hours I think. I can't comment on the value either as we purchased a package deal. From reading the other reviews it is average pricing for Brussels.

Would stay here again if ever in the area and would recommend staying here.

I came here with a group for 2 nights in early December to enable a visit to the various Xmas markets nearby(Brussels, Ghent, Brugges etc). The hotel is situated about 5 minutes off the Brussels Ring near to the airport, along the A201 and you are there, so access is easy from other areas of Belgium, France and Germany. It is only about 20mins from the airport and a shuttle bus is available from the hotel to the airport itself.
It is very accessible from the centre of Brussels by car/coach (15-20mins) or by the new tram system which has now reached Evere. Get off in Rougier which is very central for Bourse and Grande Place.
Check in was very efficient the reception was very helpful and cheerful. There was a limited food service in the restaurant but the bar was well attended and though capital city prices not too expensive compared to other hotels in Brussels.I travel to this area of Brussels a few times in the last two years on trips, and have stayed in most of the mid-priced hotels in the 'airport' area. This one was very good. The rooms are adequately sized, have free wi-fi and air-conditioned to your taste. Even open the window(it snowed!!!) if you are warm.It was very clean, quiet and had a well turned out bathroom with toiletries to suit. The shower was very good and hot/powerful. Like I sad the bar was good staff very helpful and friendly. From the foyer there are two lifts to the various floors which are quick and work well.Just a reminder only floor 1 is a smoking floor all the rest are non-smoking floors not just rooms...
In the morning breakfast was well prepared, several groups staying here, the food a mix of continental cold meats, cheese, breads, tea, coffees, juice etc and some hot food choices such as sausage, scrambled egg, smoked bacon etc. Overall a hearty breakfast was had by all with no complaints..
As a 1-2 night stay hotel though a little soul-less and out of the city its in the right price range, easy to find, handy for tram/motorway links and great service. I cannot find anything adverse to say about this hotel . Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms were of the same standard floor 1 is the only smoking floor all the rest are non-smoking

Nice business hotel in a anonymous area. Large room with everything you would expect.
Business deal with good working area and good size bathroom.Typical one night stay accomodation.

I travel to this area of Brussels (Eurocontrol) a few times a year on business, and have tried all the mid-priced (about £100) hotels in the 'airport' area. This was by far the best. Only negative was the room was a bit warm! It was clean, quite and I think the bathroom was pretty new. Didn't try the bar/restaurant but looked busy.

The room was nice regarding size, cleanness and bathroom. Free internet was included. However, the hotel was extremely expensive (yes, Brussels is expensive and there was a fair) but over a certain rate also the breakfast shall be included. As such as it is easy to reach from the airport by bus and you can use bus or metro to reach the city.
