“So tiny..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Single rooms are awfully tiny. A lot of pastries for breakfast, not so many healthy choices. I booked this hotel searching for a place close to EU facilities, but actually it was quite a trip by bus. Next to the park, bus and subway stops. Too bad it was raining outside, the backyard of the hotel looked nice, though, it must be lovely to have a cup of coffee in the morning there if weather is fine.

The brand Best Western may put you off ? Go for the Park Hotel Brussels and you'll get the best in the west ! Excellent value for money, super rooms and beds and great location. No restaurant in the house, no need to as there are some superb ones just 2 minutes away ! Great service, smiley people ! Go there next time you are in Brussels !!!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back may be quitter, but all rooms should be good

This is my favourite best west western in brussels. Close to EU institutions 2 minutes away from metro station Merode. Spacious quiet room with a viev to a park. Traditional, old building with nice design. Full buffet breakfast included in the price.

I stayed for two weeks. Would have switched but for the great staff. No a/c even though weather patterns changing. Forced to sleep with windows open so either too hot, too cold or just plain noisy kept me awake most nights. Pillows uncomfortable. Almost had birds fly in due to open windows. Breakfast not appetizing.

I have got the rooftop room at 8th floor (802) with balcony, overviewing the park. No noise from street, interior quite spacious of Best Western style. As it is the rooftop, it could be pretty warm during the summer. Hotel is situated 3 mins from Metro, in walking distance from main EU istitutions, on the direction to the the airport (20 mins by taxi, no need to crosss the city centre). Therefore it is good choice for shortterm stay when having any "EU business" in Brussels.

The house and its two first floors give an impression of a grand, old-style hotel. However the rooms in the upper floors are very avarage and typical "best western" rooms. Rooms in the upper floor are very narrow with basic interior. At least the noice from the street was not disturbing & bed was OK. Wall-to-wall carpets made the interior look a bit dirty. The rate I paid (178€) included a buffet breakfast which was an "ordinary" breakfast.
This is a good option especially if you know a city a bit cause it is easily reachable by using the public transport (advisable cause traffic in Brussels may cause you trouble): first by train to the Central Station and then by metro to the station "Merode" where 1 minute walk.
The park on the opposite offer you a nice jogging opportunity!
