Stayed here in August. The hotel isn't in the center of the city, but the Metro stop is right there. and its a couple of stops and you are right in the heart of the city. We had no problems getting around. One night we walked back from the Grand Place, but it is a pretty good sized walk, so I wouldn't recommend that for everyday. There is also a nice restaurant section a couple blocks south of the Hotel that was nice as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I picked this hotel because it is so highly recommended on Tripadvisor. The centre is a short train journey away, but if you are going for the weekend then I would recommend staying in the centre. In the evening, the area is dead. We arrived late on the Friday and went in search for food but everything was closed. We then resorted to eating in the hotel, which had either sandwiches or a microwave pizza (don't expect anything fancy). The breakfast isn't anything great either. Also, in the evening there is only one or two staff members so it takes ages to get any help as a lot of people are checking in at this time.
The upsides are the price, near to the station and has some great gadgets (minus the hairdryer, I suggest bringing your own).

We stayed in the Aloft Hotel in November. It's a modern and innovative hotel and is great for travellers on a budget.

Situated around a 2 minute walk from one of the main suburban metro stops it's easy to get in and out of the centre of Brussels - only 1 or 2 stops to Brussels Centraal station all of the big tourist attractions. Being out of the centre means that there is a significant price difference, but this hotel is not too far out to be an annoyance.

The room we had was spacious and comfortable. It was very well designed to be as economically friendly as possible and to make the most of the space they had to work with. The bed's headboard acted as a separating wall from the bathroom, for example, and the shower and toilet were concealed behind a huge wall-mirror door.

All was clean and well-maintained (though we didn't have a working hairdryer, but I'm sure if we had asked for a new one it would have been supplied).

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and when we mentioned that we had forgotten to bring a European plug adapter with us they were able to lend us one.

The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms did feel a little cold and impersonal, and at the time of year that we went the place was largely empty so we did not want to go and sit in the bar or cafe by ourselves!

Nevertheless, would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Brussels.

I love this hotel in the Schuman district. It is cool but comfortable and clean. The most comfortable beds in any hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are modern and functional with massive beds and very large screen tvs. Breakfast is self serve and reasonable for Brussels. The staff are friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back again.
