“Nice friendly Hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2011

Have just spent three days at this hotel, it is a very nice hotel in a very nice spot. The owner is very pleasant and always ready to help. Food not the best but there is something for everyone, good sized rooms and some lovely walks around the ares.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2011

Stayed at this hotel in early July with a coach trip. We were wary of other reviews saying the church bells chimed all night. They don't, they only chime from 07-00 to 19-00 and were quite pleasant to wake up to. We were in the front of the main hotel and did not have a balcony but had pleasent views over the pool area and partial views of the lake, only once it would have been nice to have had a balcony and that was on a free day when no trips were arranged. The rooms and the hotel in general were spotlessly clean with towels changed every three days and the room maids worked hard. The air conditioning in our room was quite dated and noisy so had to turn it down during the night and was not very effective. The hotel will charge for the air conditioning if left on during the day and the room is not occupied for any long period which is fair enough.
The breakfast was very repetative and could do with improving, the tea was very weak but the coffee was ok and quite hot. It was lovely to eat breakfast out on the terrace. Dinner was quite varied with a choice of three starters, soup, a pasta dish and a vegetarian dish, the soup was excellent and always served very hot. The main course, although well cooked, was said to be served with two vegetables but the second one being a raw red cabbage leaf or shredded lettuce. The sweet could have been better. You ordered meals at the dinner table for the following evening and it would have been nice to have tea or coffee served after the meal instead of having to go to the bar and buy it. Never the less the meals were adequate.
The system for paying for drinks on a card for twenty euros was good and it saved time handling cash and speeded things up. The prices were quite reasonable compared to restaurants and cafes.
The owner was very helpfull as were all the staff, the barman did come across as surly but that was probably the language barrier and he was quite helpfull.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would not hesite in returning, but would like a room with a balcony next time.

Room Tip: Request a room at the front of the main hotel with a balcony

Stayed 4 nights as part of a Leger tour. This was the best hotel by far. Excellent view of Lake Garda. Air con working even though it was May. Food good. Staff great, apart from surly barman as mentioned by previous reviewer (don't know if it's same one - maybe they breed them).

Pleasantly surprised from the outset of this warm, friendly, family run hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Fantastic view from the balcony, bedroom great. Food was specially prepared for us, extremely tasty, good variety and so plentiful, that we could not eat it all. Would not hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: Poolside for view of lake and alps.

Excellent 3 star hotel, great setting, and good location.
The last three days of our ‘Jewels of Italy’ tour was based at the Adria Hotel. It was way above 3 star standards we have encountered in Europe. The food was good (when compared to other 3 star hotels in Italy) and plentiful with a choice of menu; I couldn’t eat all the courses! For Continental buffet breakfast there was lots of choice and staff were attentive. The swimming pool and surrounding gardens were very clean and well kept and yes the pool was chilly but welcome in the 25 degrees! The owner was very helpful and provided information about places we wanted to visit – local knowledge was great. I hadn’t come across the purchase of a card before (e.g. 20 Euros) that was used to obtain drinks at the bar but actually it’s very good because at a glance you can see how much you’ve spent! And yes any ‘credit’ left on the card you are given the money back at anytime. The acid test is, would I go back – without hesitation. A great place for a holiday

Room Tip: Request a room withbalcony at the front/poolside

Pool area lovely, rooms in Annexe basic and in need of an update. however clean and bed comfortable.Hotel Owner very friendly and welcoming.hotel restaurent and lounge and bar better standard than rooms.Dinner was passable and hot .Breakfast was a little basic but not out of the ordinary for Italy. Tea and coffee were hot which was a plus .No cash taken at bar - you had to pay for putting your euros on a card and get a refund when you left if you had any money left.I found this awkward and couldn't see the reason for it.
I will not be recommending this hotelbut .It's a shame as, if the rooms were improved ,food upgraded a little and the silly money system cancelled it could be really nice .

HOTEL ADRIA N RESORT "LAKE GARDA" is located in the middle of a paradise called RIVIERA DEI LIMONI. The Riviera of lemons. A popular location for sports enthusiasts and an excellent touring base for your Lake Garda holiday. The hotel is composed of two different buildings, surrounded by our private garden of 1800 square meters , a peaceful place to relax amongst the colourful Mediteranean plants and flowers. The solarium area and swimming-pool are the real attractions of this place. Erminio Binda and his family have owned the hotel since 2001 and have restored and renovated the hotel to a good standard. In the main building of 30 rooms, 10 have a small balcony with a wonderful lakeview, all the rooms in the second building have a big balcony with a pleasant garden view. In the main building our large lounge and bar area with its outdoor terrace makes a comfortable place to relax both during the daytime and after dinner.
